Thank you so much for your responses and I am sorry I couldn't write back due to some health concerns and way too much work. Its an update that my tries to save the engine didn't work So I got an engine swap from b15d3 to d17a VTEC. So far its been a week since the swap and car are running great, amazing mileage and acceleration. I do miss my older engine, but I think this one will work great. it was a total engine, with compressor, wiring, ECU, power steer pump, fuel pump and everything included. Cost me around 65000 including labor and wiring (additional cost of 10000 extra on engine oil, power steering oil, AC gas refilling, and some little stuff here and there) and the best thing is that the engine is in mint condition.

For an update on my d15b3
I tried everything. From replacing PCV value, cleaning that black box at the back of the engine below the intake, but my cylinder 1 had low compression, plus it was vibrating. so it needed overhauling. unfortunately, I had to go with an engine swap, and D17A was the most feasible I found after surveying the market for 2 weeks.

I did get it diagnosed, the cost of fixing it was about the same as a swap, and khuwari alag. So I went with a swap, I didnt want to but thats what i had to do in the end.

You got the best engine. This has good power, reliability and great avg as well. What r u getting rn? The cost is pretty good if so much stuff was swapped in

Fixing it would have been the better option. It wouldn't have needed much work and would have become zero meter, a scrap engine is a scrap engine, no matter how good.
Anyways, hope that you flushed the engine properly, and hope that it serves you well

Hi Hasan,

So I started by going to Rawalpindi, Lahore and Faisalabad to look for engines,
Beat up engines were going up for sale for around 85000-90000 while good ones for 100000 ( while giving back your old engine)
In lahore it was around 85000-95000 ( while giving back your old engine)
in faisalabad however, good condition engines were going for 75000 (with giving them old engine) so every surveying the market and negotiation, we came up with 65000. and the engine is in immaculate condition.
I guess i got lucky here as well, the engine was in pristine condition. So our final deal here in Faisalabad was 65000 including engine swap + wiring ecu installation.
I can't calculate the millage as of now, because of all this lockdown going, but I will share the pics with you guys shortly.

Plus side, no modification done in the engine back. Not a single one.I'll share my car hood pics as well today.

D17A New

Old one getting taken out, you can see the leakage and all that. It needed complete overhauling, blowby caused a lot of seal leaks.

Before the blowby issue back at the start of 2019 (How lovely it was )

After dropping in te new one with wiring done, you can see AC hoses out, didn't get time to fix it because of Covid lockdown, so I had to take my car back a day before the lockdown.

Adding to my previous comments, the funny thing is that engine guys (Pathan bhai) who mostly deal in engines actually suggested me get an engine swap from Faisalabad, as the demand is low here and we find them cheaper and in much better condition. Also that there is a dry port, so that is another factor.

True, I got lucky here to be honest, and engines are cheap in Faisalabad, also the labor, so this explains the cost being cheaper.

True that, Karachi is expensive, there shouldn't be any reasons for that. Only because people are more aware of these engines i guess.
The Engine guys from RWP told me to look for the same engine in Faisalabad, told me about his cousins working their, and to my surprise they were correct,its cheaper here.

D17A is sure jdm but it had been better if you went for D15B or D16 from 96-00 civic. This engine is from civic 2001-2006. And this engine is cheaper then D15B.
