After removing the old motor I told them to remove the fenders as well cuz i dont even want any kind of small damage to my paint. The hood and fenders are now wrapped in a thin plastic sheet to avoid dust, dirty hands.
Hello beautiful !We'll see you soon.
Yeah! Time for the DOHC to get in. But this is just a dry fitting to check the engine position, balance and taking an estimate and dimensions regarding the new mounts.
Thats a true car-freak thing you did, and yes it should be done for all such swaps.
All the best for the Work In Process, for sure it will be a fun to drive.
Subscribed. One of the best civic I have ever seen and hats off to your enthusiasm:)

you are bolting a dog bone to the engine? Make sure the person who is making the mount takes into account that the engine has to move slightly before engaging the mount solidy, you can do that with a jackscrew - Its basically the same setup as the old Accord Si had in 1990, Older accords (3g) had it from the powerpack to the firewall but with a sort of soft damper rubber in it. The softness was due to small fingers in the rubber which were to prevent sudden shock loading to the cabin.
man this thread reminds me of the old saying on pw's
"DOHC Rulz!"
Yeh its the same dog bone lol. It has two soft damper rubbers in it, one at the top and one at the bottom, and im sure he must have taken this into account but still i will convey your concern
Hmmm

Update: Pulling the engine out and Mr.Einstein doing his work on the gear side mount to lift the engine a bit to avoid low ground clearance.
Fabrication of the gear mount done. Engine once again dry fitted along with axles and balanced perfectly.
@fahadullah
Getting it ready in time for the lahore autoshow?
Nice going
My excitement is beyond the autoshow, just can't wait to get my hands on my daily with more power
Now comes the Engine Bay transformation. Filling and sanding started after removing all the components. Closing the unwanted holes of the bay to give a clean and tuck look and meanwhile engine ready for de-assembling and cleaning.
Mounts arrived.Custom made one piece Aluminum mounts. Needs to be polished yet. Lovely, aren't they?
not bad,but hasports/innovatives are cheap enough to get new or even used?
Agreed but unfortunately I don't see any relative or friend coming from abroad and the ones doing imports here charge a lot of margin and the cost goes way above. Second thing, I've herd a lot about the Hasport being dead stiff and these fabricated ones were experienced in more then four swaps done by the same garage and i was pretty much satisfied plus a year warranty made me convinced towards them
