1. what they like and their search criteria
2. what they previously bought and from exprience
3. what other advise them to
4. Online comparisons only lead to useless fight and no healty decision making.

if we go on to look at the prices then an Altis manual ( i personally think altis manual is undervalued because people at Indus are desperate to get back their Altis market) over ivtec......... because its the real value for money. if money is not an issue then vti - oriel.

The below comparison is based on my own Experience.
Altis provides more features then Civic I-vtec at the same price but for me Altis is boring those Extra features aren't that necessary main thing which is important is Ride quality + Driving Experience, and Civic has all the necessary Features which makes it Exciting to Drive.
When sitting in Altis it looks like a bit modified version of XLi (Most of the XLi's r converted almost like Altis Except Steering + speed dials etc..) :D, while sitting in Civic it gives All new experience.. Just look at the stylish Dashboard and Digital speedometer + the civic has much better Road Grip as compared to Corolla..

How is Ride quality + Driving Experience of Altis is not any better. Can You please Explain !

Altis has very light and comfortable driving experience compared to civic sporty driving.both target different type of people .but its all ends on personal preference.i prefer altis for city use because of its easy light and fuel economical driving and civic on highway because of its road feedback and grip.

We should wait for some time to estimate altis resale value.yes altis 1.8doesnt has good resale.you can see old gli selling for 12 13 lakh easily where as no ones wanta to buy old altis for 12lakh

well from my latest research, Ive got to know that resale of Altis has rather improved than that of GLI...
even black on Altis is up to 2 lacs whereas on Glis its only about 0.5k :s
Any one having idea about own on oriels both variants?

Altis Sales has seen a drastic up shift since the launch of its new model. Toyota didnot anticipated sales at this rate. This may be one of the reason of long waiting time before delivery

I would like to share my experience about these cars.
Have used Civic oriel late 2006 model for 4 years and it was a very good experience.
Car is comfortable, Speedy, Road grip is also very good. Cockpit gives a different feeling.

Now i have a 2.OD saloon 2010 model.
Its also very good. Drive is good to. Very good for bumpy roads. But still it doesn't gives a pleasure of drive which Civic gives.
I will suggest you to go for Civic top of the line model. Go for Oriel.

Altis 1.6 is also a good deal. Fuel efficient. But still paying 1.9 million for a car which is similar to shape of 1.4 million car.

Brother, the new model ultimately takes over .... People never stick to things once they get old ! Honda has never failed and trust me it will not this time too !
