If they try to keep price under 2.2million then only its going to be something otherwise civic doesnt deserves 25lakhs .In that amount of money one will opt for mark x new premio or other jdm car

I would like to share my experience about these cars.
Have used Civic oriel late 2006 model for 4 years and it was a very good experience.
Car is comfortable, Speedy, Road grip is also very good. Cockpit gives a different feeling.

Now i have a 2.OD saloon 2010 model.
Its also very good. Drive is good to. Very good for bumpy roads. But still it doesn't gives a pleasure of drive which Civic gives.
I will suggest you to go for Civic top of the line model. Go for Oriel.

Altis 1.6 is also a good deal. Fuel efficient. But still paying 1.9 million for a car which is similar to shape of 1.4 million car.

I dont have an 8th gen Civic but I had a 7th gen VTi Oriel and I still rate that car better than the current Corolla.
The drive was fantastic!
If I compare it with my Corolla then I can say that Corolla's drive is quite boring.
No doubt Corolla is a great car but as far as the "Driving pleasure" is concerned, Civic takes the lead.

As far as the new Altis is concerned then Im impressed by the introduction of many new features.
IMO Honda's market will be affected.

All agreed but spending more then 2 million and knowing the manufacturing of the model is soon going to be ceased .... Civic is not the optimum choice right now, specially the manual trim !

2008 GLis and XLis are selling like HOT CAKEs...Why? It had a better build quality and it was not VVTi (Read CNG friendly). People bought them for 8-10lacs and selling them after so many years of usage for 10-13 lacs

If you buy Civic now for 17-20 lacs; imagine for how much it will sell? I think its golden time to buy well established 8th gen Civic

Now dont be like this.
Atleast they did add something.
However I would also love to see an Altis with Immobilizer,OEM in-dash navigation and Dual airbags (that actually deploy on impact).

In 2001 when the 7th gen Civic was launched, everyone disliked it.
Simlilarly when the 8th gen was launched, people were all praise for the 7th gen Civic.
So that is how it goes here.

Let me tell you something.
A close friend bought a brand new Mehran VX in 2007 for 375k.
The car was sold a couple of months back.
5 years tokens were short.
The car was roughly used.
It had a couple of accidents and some scratches on the body and blah blah.
And the best part is that it still sold for 410k in 2011.

shape of reborn is so gud that it vil b evergreen civic like 95. n yes its golden time to buy it as its market value demand will only increase in future. look how people who bought 7th generation fr 8-9 lacs r demanding now 11+ lacs n remember 8th gen is way way better then it so i think civic is better to buy over altis.
