both rear shock absorbers produce clunk like noise when i try to pull up the car a little bit but does not make any noise on pulling down the car. Although when car bounces it produces that sound because it reaches that upward position where that sound can be heard.I have tightened every joint, checked control arms too and now what i am considering is that shocks are bad now( although seems impossible).Car in KP-60

Have u tried installing new or another pair of shock absorbers at rear? Does it produce same clunk noise with different shocks as well?
the sturt / shock absorber is not seated properly in the upper-mount. check for rubber bushing / insulator.
It is just separate shock and its bushing is good and properly tightened too.
Sound is not reproduced when someone is at rear and car properly reacts to bumps( i mean not bumping or stiff behaviour) . Shock is also not physically damaged.
engine OFF, parking brake engaged, car in 1st gear locked
crawl under the vehicle and try to jerk the shock with hands,. you can locate the source
I am sure u can arrange it easily the replacement. Try it by replacing and checking if all gone than u have the culprit.
Yes check that too i try to wiggle the shock it doesn't produces any noise nor does it moves. But on pressing car from rear bumper sound is produced.
@babarhyd tried wiggling the shock absorber now and it does not produce that sound when i held shock from middle portion ( where upper and lower part meet ) ? Is it tightening issue.?
mine are this type of shocks which portion should be tightened first upper or lower?
if the sound is ONLY at road hump or with passengers check the upper bushes & washers
Problem is sound is without passengers.
then please check both upper & lower.check lower closely they may be bolted with extra torque fracuturing the rubber bushes
Its possible the piston inside the shock absorber which ROD pushes is damaged or has play which you won't feel unless its on load. As I said replace it. This condition ONLY applies when all other bushings are working perfectly. KP60 has 4way link suspension which means bushes bushed everywhere 🤪.
Control arms are also part of suspension?
@Xulfiqar @capsat it there is a little amount of play in strut mount then it is suitable for use or i have to buy new?
there shall be no fractures in rubber and the bearing shall be hard seated wiggling bearing means end of life, these mounts can be sourced from scarp after close inspection.
It might be due to worn out shock absorber. You should go to your mechanic and tell him to inspect shock absorber condition.
