if you caqn refrain from using it on the roads till 07 sure why not wait. However if you intend on using it i'd suggest you get it registered and then take it out.
If you want an 07 number you can book it and register the car, fit replica plates of the number you have booked (plastic plates) and when the real ones arrive you can swap them. it's 100% legal.
I booked a number for one of my mercs and did the same thing, police are cool as long as you have proof that the number is yours and the metal ones are on their way.

u mean i can book the number i want right now, get the replica plates for that #, and then register the car in 2007... (is the procedure sumthing similar to the auctioned numbers)

@Wajih. No this was not the case. It took me by surprise. I never used my contacts or position to speed up the delivery even. Hate to do this, but true most of my colleagues do use their influence/clout to speed up things. lol.
surprise!!!!!...well still waiting for the compensation from the honda ppl but guess what... got a draft of rs 5300rs from toyota indus motors for the the car i had booked last january and got it last july... din ask them for any compensation at that time cuz din know about it, and today 6 months after getting the car,out of nowhere i get the compensation... ROLF...

what about the Mehran you booked a year back, is it delivered, did you ask them for any compensation ? they may change the inside plastics to the Non-recycled ones
