Corolla 5AFE car Power Loss after Gear change

Hi all ,
I have 5afe Ae110 Manual transmission one. Car power loss after change gears. example : if i change Gear 1 to 2 and push gas pedal car not go in second gear, i keep pusing gas pedal to bottom and no power. after couple of second suddenly car speed up with loud engagement sound. also when car run some speed i release gas pedal, car shaking and come to slower speed. not smoothly slowing. car shaking.

What type of electrical issue. you mean?

Your car is manual and you shift 1st to 2nd and it didn't go in 2nd!! does it grind? Or the clutch doesn't work?
Something is wrong with your transmission!

in a manual transmission only clutch is the problem item for the problem you have described

This is the fault of TP SENSOR (Throttle Position Sensor).
Get the TP Sensor change, ASAP.
Your problem will be solved, Inshallah...

no car change gear 1 to 2 correctly. after change to gear 2 i push gas pedal some power loss in 1 to 2 second after 1 second car start to go with shaking. this is seems like electrical or sensor related

Yes as suggested check TPS first. Then spark plug wires etc.

on neutral, does the engine rev through the full rpm range easily?

yes i can rev up easily bro

have a throttle body service done.

thoroughly clean out the IACV.

swap in another engines TPS (or have the TPS calibrated) and check all the wiring for any possible loose connection or corrosion on the connection.

for fixing idle , clean its ISCV

for gear issue...adjust TPS 1st and see if it helps...

it must be ECT type gear.. a sticky solenoid can also cause it but that's after ruling out other things 1st

adjust TPS as per FSM values. its adjustable type....all you need is DMM/ FSM Values to do it

Swapping 5A-FE in charade 86

So guys some days back my charade's cb23 engine start producing noise.. got it checked and found connecting rod was making that noise...:cry: i got this engine about 6months ago from bilalgunj:'( so it was the time to move to some newer engine(compared to cb23), as their is not much space under the hood in 86 charade so ended up choosing 4E-FE, visited bilalgunj and found that the size of 4Efe and 5 afe is same, and the price is almost same too, but 5afe got more juice :wink:, so i chose 5afe.. …
