Swapping 5A-FE in charade 86

So guys some days back my charade's cb23 engine start producing noise.. got it checked and found connecting rod was making that noise... i got this engine about 6months ago from bilalgunj:'(
so it was the time to move to some newer engine(compared to cb23), as their is not much space under the hood in 86 charade so ended up choosing 4E-FE, visited bilalgunj and found that the size of 4Efe and 5 afe is same, and the price is almost same too, but 5afe got more juice , so i chose 5afe..
inspected few engines and found a clean piece..from inside..outer look was :P...may be it will look good after cleaning..

it is about 1 week the work is running...

i need to know about thing to take of in the process...

and what size of exhaust pipe is best for this engine?

which engine oil is best..?

and plz someone source me complete wiring diagram of this engine...and engine repair manual..plz...i would appreciate it a lot

Sir, it is the 4af-e that has more "juice." You should go with that. Nice choice btw, best of luck with you project!

i have almost similar case.. my engine is wearing out... main bearings are making sounds.. so far i am considering selling the car... jitna bhi kharch karlo gari pay it never pays back when selling...

how are you stuffing the thing inside? what mounts? what axles? what brake discs? what hubs?

yes it is 1.5 liter..
bro may be you werent lucky when you purchased engine...

yes agreed on that part these things are not to sell...

mounts are stock of 5afe
axles are custom made weld-less...
breaks and hubs are sme...

mounts are stock 5afe? i dont think this is a bolt on fitting to g11 chassis...

you must upgrade the brakes...

my cars engine has lived its life actually... nearly 2lak km..

no no they not bot on but the denter make new places for them...will attack pics tomorrow ..
i meant mounting are original of 5afe that round shaped like...places for mounting are newly made...

any recommendations for the brakes?

but money can buy anything...so you can always buy new life for your car

same cb23 in my car... best i got on cng was 150km on a full tank.. petrol avg was 10-12km/l

4EFE would have been better choice... 4EFE gives enough juice and its more economical.

The original CB23 is a very very good and long life engine, once correctly mic'd and assembled like "THE FACTORY SAID IT SHOULD" the engine will last you and your children's life too.

The biggest killer for this engine is running it cold all the time, with the oil cap PCV pipe blocked off, this disintegrates the oil badly. Other bits like not having proper upkeep etc does the rest of empyting your pocket.

In my experience I found them very very robust - almost wear like an iron anvil like Nissan engines do, When working on them and the subaru E - The subaru is top notch in quality and workmanship - the daihatsu/toyota CB is next, all the rest then follow.

to stuff this engine you will have the "axle spider joints welded to the shaft after shaving off the milling - which means that the shaft hardening is not present anymore and it also means that a simple job of axle boot replacement will also require grinding and rewelding.

The entire frame will spread out due to the weight - this can be seen by an optical alignment machine too. Major reinforcement like bracing is required to tighten it back up on the horizontal plane.

4efe is 88hp
and this one is 100hp+
economy i think it will be 19-20 difference...rest users of these engines know better

sir he was demanding 75K for this engine...purana sath day k...deal was finilaised for 64K
deal was having complete engine(ac compressor, power steering pump, alternator etc), gearbox, wiring, ecu, 3 mountings, brackets, cut goda, gear lever, wires for gear lever and fuel pump.
