I hv gli manual 2018.My average is around 11 in city But I observe 12 only on highway?! Can I improve it?

Depends on the daily mileage. If your daily route is longer, you will get good mileage. My Grande which used to run 60 kms daily used to return 13, 14 in city drive. Now it rarely run 3 to six kms three, four times since March 20 and avg dropped to 11.

I own corolla 2016 automatic. Fuel average I get in city is around 10L/KM on ac because my driving style is very soft. On M2 motorway hyderabad to karachi I sometimes manage to get fuel average around 19.5l/km with ac and when I am not against the wind direction. And When I am travelling against the wind direction, my avaerage is around 16-17.

Note: My vehicle is company maintained and service and periodic maintenance is done by TOYOTA DEALERSHIP.

I am using gli 2018 it gives me 13 KM/L in city and on long if speed is between 90 to 120 it gives 17 KM/L, if speed is 120 to 130 it gives me 16 KM/L and if speed is more than 140 it gives me 10 KM/L.
It is also informed you GLI's average improves after 30000 Km driving. I am using GLI since 1998 and change vehicle after 5 years.

I KNOW I am late to the game but I wanted to share. My gli 2013 is giving me around 16Kmpl in city and around 23-24Kmpl on long routes. It all depends upon your driving style. I drive with a light foot and only travel within islamabad or motorway to faisalabad. I keep speed around 100-120.

The picture I took is just to record millage of gli 2010 from hayatabad Peshawar to Shah maqsood exit on hazarah motorway... It gave me 21 kpl but as mentioned by other members I kept a speed of 90-100 rpm around 2700, about 40% AC ON.

It adds value when you sell the car, along with jenwan baady. But engine suspension don't matter much.

Dear PWers. I need some urgent guidance before hitting workshops.
On way back form my village my GLI 2010 1.3 manual in petrol faced jerks and missing. Fuel average was also showing 9 something which is usually 16. My friend noticed smoke from my car on uphill where I probably pushed acceleration hard.
Upon reaching home I opened hood and when I touched and forced this one sensor the engine sound become normal.

I tested car and except very tiny missing in acceleration problem seemed to have gone. This morning the exhaust was throwing lot of black powder on floor with water drops.

Could this black powder be due to excessive fuel from last night. Is this sensor in picture oxygen sensor. Should I ask for just checking this sensor. What else should I do to address the issue.

I think it is maf sensor

Yes you are right. It is MAF sensor. The car was fine today. May be its connection was loose or something and caused a lot of unburnt fuel problem.
