Corolla GLi 1.3L Fuel Consumption

Dear Frndz
I own a GLi 1.3 its April 2012 Model and is driven on 4500Km, Its was giving fuel avg 12.7-8 (Long Rout) on stock tyres i.e, 195/65/15. I changed tyres to Dunlop SP 205/65/15. Since then its avg decreased to 12 to 12.1 Km/L.
Kindly advise me that if this is only because of tyres issue or there is some other problem with it.

Not at all. It should give u 15+ km in a litre on long route but with light foot

Exactly and sure it will have to give you 15+ millage !

boss all depends on drive whether its local, highway, city mix and your driving style as well normally 1.3 gli gives 12 to 16.5 kmpl depending on all these conditions

and same is the case with diesel, right now my 2.0d gives me 16kmpl on 70% highway and 30% city with mixture of soft and rash driving style

Frndz Its a mix drive means 70 % Highways and 30% city, I usually drive RPM below 3k its around 100+-, i think on this speed it should be giving 14+ atleast.
What you ppl think should i go to dealer for its checkup.

The mileage you are getting is fine. Keep in mind that you can only get 15+kms/liter with a hypermill mode, that means you have take classes from a taxi driver to do that.

gli normally gives an average of 11 to 13 in the city and in the highway it may give upto 17.5 , it depends upon how u drive. put light foot on the pedal and maintain the speed of 100 km p/h. more tips are put mixture of hioctane and normal petrol , for e-g in a tank full put 10 liters of hi octane ... u will see average and smoothness of ur vehicle will increase.

It should easily give 16+ with AC on highway and 13+ in local

Local: 10-12.5 kmpl
Highway: 15-21 kmpl while hypermiling

How is it fair? My civic Exi 2004 with 205/60/15 gives 15 km with AC on long route and milage on odo is around 180k. Its a brand new GLi and vvti so it should be around 18-20 km on long routes.

my xli 10 45000 kms give 12 in city 17 on long @ 100 km/h and 15.5 at 120 km/h car has 205 tires, these figures r with full load
