Corolla Grande 1.8 CVT Fluid - Question from Experts

STORY
My Grande barely 20k driven was giving a whining sound which i got checked from Toyota Dealership and they said it might be CVT transmission so as it was under warrenty they were ready to perform few tests on the vehicle to see if the CVT was ok.
A foreman at the dealership recommended to take out all the CVT fluid and put it back in may resolve the problem but after doing that noise was still there.
Fortunately one of my cousin have the same model same car i observed the noise in his car too then another friend have a grande we heard the noise in his too. hence it was final that this whinning noise is a common noise in all the 1.8 CVT corollas so i am satisfied.
BUT QUESTION IS
Since the guys took out all the CVT fluid and then put back in, surely they lost about may be a quarter litre of fluid after opening the drain plug etc. my concern is, either CVT fluid will still be sufficient for the car, according to toyota guys it is but their recommendation is not satisfactory to me.

if the work is done at dealership and they did it as per manual you need not to worry.

However 2016-17 Grande CVT does not have any whinning noise which can be attributed to transmission as factory fault.

Yes sir the work was done at dealership. And what they did was very simple.
Remove the drain plug, take out all the CVT fluid and put it back in.
I was present there, if i am not wrong .25 litre CVT fluid was wasted which i am worried about.
Now 1.8 grande does not have a dipstick to check the fluid level. and concern is since a little of the fluid was wasted should i consider whole of the CVT fluid replacement or should i be satisfied as toyota guy said its ok if you waste such a little fluid.

And after discussing with some experienced guys this white encircled component is what makes a slight whinning noise but not the CVT. Although to many drivers/owners it will not even be noticeable. but to a car lover in a normal winter night it clearly is.

The quantity as well as quality matters in my opinion. When I bought my Fortuner in Januray, 2017 there was a problem with it's radiator hose. It needed replacement. Toyota recalled all Fortuners. They opened up the pipe and a lot of radiator fluid spilled out. They had some sort of pan to collect it placed under the car and just as they were about to top up my car with the same fluid that poured out, I could see that it was heavliy contaminated with particles. I made them open up a new bottle of fluid and pour that in front of me. What sort of container did they drain the fluid into?

they did that in an empty 4L can of Toyota CVT transmission fluid. as one of the vehicle got its CVT fluid changed. Dealership recommends to get it done at every 40k.

and i think mechanically all the grandes from 14 to 18 are one and the same thing.

what about the little quantity that is wasted? as while manufacturing the vehicle quantity level must have been set very carefully.... wouldnt it?

Yes, go to them and ask them to either replace the whole oil or put in remaining wasted 0.25 L.

What sort of a sound are u talking about ? Is it humming or grinding noise?

they say oil is ok. as manufacturer pour some extra fluid in it. so i am really confused at this point

Than leave it be. Do u find anything unusual after the oil replacement? If not than well it's okay. And have it changed by 30000kms

Are you talking about the whinning sound while driving few seconds at high rpms?

the whining sound that comes at idle after revving on high rpms on neutral/park?

no its kind of a whinning noise which only becomes noticeable when car gets its operational temprature

yes i already have made up my mind to get it changed at 30k.
but all i wanted to ask was if wasting 0.25 litre of CVT fluid which came from factory can damage any components of transmission or i should not worry and enjoy the ride as it is.

Frankly speaking i wouldn't worry much abt it unless i feel some problem with gear shifting... So enjoy it.
