i think this is the best fuel avg it can return.
u cud have spent that fees on fuel instead !
Brown marking is corona stain which is ok. Coil is seal how come he smelled it until it burns. The smell is he talking about if of seeping oil into plugs well.
Why? Its not the average this engine should return
This time average is less. Also the liters shown in image is more because auto cut wasn't working at this PSO pump besides Serena Mobile Market at Sakhi Hasan, Karachi. So I deducted 1 liter and get 8.18 Km/l which is very bad for this engine.
@Xulfiqar @capsat @rajaatta
Notorious PUMP.of the area. unless running dry stay away from the place.
Shell at hanif hospital on left heading towards city before left exit ramp, & PSO next to Dhaka Sweets on left while coming from city enjoy good reputation for fuel dispensing.
Its owned by a person who used to be into biking and then opened a shop to work on "race cars"
I have complained about it on PSO Taaluq Helpline. Would try to avoid it but my father goes back to it as it is the closest
@Xulfiqar do you know the pump owner?
The pump next to serena mobile phone mall / bovichic burger?
Yeah, hes shah faisal
Yes but the PSO oneThere was a caltex one also on the other side many years back which now turned into ruins
That caltex one was owned by faisal
The pso one has changed ownership a dozen times already and is known to have wrong calibrated dispensers
How come ur getting so low average one my cousins swapped 1nzfe in 80s corolla and he is getting easily 18 to 19 kmpl in rwp City there must be some serious issue with urz
Couldn't find any major issue till nowAlso I think 80s corolla has less weight
One more thing he was also getting low average but later acording to him his mechanic changed fuel pump to some double jali wala kabli after that he exoerieced hugh improvement
Replaced spark plug with iridium VK-16 (Best available in market)
What does these spark plugs shows? Also the ground electrode seems to be deteriorated like it is melting.
@Xulfiqar @Hassan1991 @capsat @dayrider @engnr.mubashir @dani_kk
@hasankhurshid29 After looking at plugs they gave gone through 2 scenarios. 1) Car was running too rich for quite long time. 2) Later the car running too lean because that white residue on top electrode indicates running hot and that too leaning of mixture.
Problem could be too less fuel to the system that cause lean conditions and there are less chances of getting lean codes until you have some serious vacuum leaks.
So is this new pump not providing enough fuel pressure?
Looks like uneven atomisation.
for ideal air fuel mixture the plugs should be brownish in color. check your cars fuel and air intake and figure out systematically what is wrong. In this way you can solve the high fuel consumption issue as well.
Already checking both systems.Will get AFR reading again from Torque Garage
