Now the easy part is over and the difficult part in on which is sourcing the components and wiring at a reasonable price

please make the box properly sealed with silicone. and line it with polyfill (pioneer recommends lining enclosure inside with sound damping material for this sub)

and most importantly, make MDF box. no chipboards. this subs has massive excursion (lots of xmax)...will move alot of air (causing alot of box flex). so u need a very rigid high density wood. mdf is ideal for this...

Btw guys I also need help in sound damping. I hate rattles and the car in question a new one and I dont want to see it in shambles with noises coming from here and there (I have witnessed my cousins GLI with a 12" CV in a ported and untuned box) and it rattles from everywhere even though he hardly listens at high volumes. I dont want this horror situation to happen to my car as I love it more than my audio system

ported enclosure causes alot of rattles..sealed will be fine...

use polyfill/polyester sheets in the trunk..or carpet underlay foam in trunk.

best wud be stinger roadkill sound damping sheets. i think complete trunk kit will cost around rs9k

The pre Pioneer 6050UB arrived today. I believe it is perfect for any system with 4V pre outs and 7 band graphic equalizer as well as direct USB/iPod connection.

1) from haroon radio khi,...West coast customs...maybe the alpine shop in clifton has it as well

2)no samad bond required. had adhesive on one side. but you need a heatgun (or hairdryer) to make it stick permanently

3) i doubt it is reusable in future car...will be too messy to take it off.

best is to use combination of roadkill and desi damping (using foam and/or polyfill)

if u have budget for type x ref series comps. why not try DLS, or focal components?? u can get them in the same price range. Type R comps are clearly not meant for SQ

as for rear speakers...again, type R is not meant for an SQ install. 2ndly, rear speakers kill the soundstage, and not the best thing to do in an SQ install.

you will have bass frequencies phase issues with those 6x9 speakers. they will be trying to play the same frequencies as your subwoofer...

anyway, for SQ - out of the above options...i would say go for either type X comps or the polk audio ones..

for rear 6x9s (if u must)...get the polk ones..

Well, focal components are more expensive and out of my budget.

Rear speakers are for Another car of mine which has 4150dvd and fusion encounter components

but remember, all these components have silk tweeters. they are not as detailed as metal dome tweeters. telling you this cause ur going for an SQ install..

if u want too much detail in ur music, u wud want metal dome tweeters...

Are you sure? Because this past 1 day I've searching alot of car audio forums and they say that the basic strength of these components is the 1" silk tweeter which results in much more detail in music

MS6A is a newer model of RS6A and has magnesium cone instead of paper cone of the RS6A

they might be saying that "those" particular tweeters have alot of detail...

here is the low down:

silk - smooth tone with good detail...more laid back tweets. works well for most installs. have a character of their own, cant change their sound much...

metal dome - bright, crisp...lots of clarity and detail...need a bit of EQing to get the tone ur looking for
