I have the same muki crack problem, I just wanted to know if it is ok to replace the complete muki rather than adding the rod?

Visited sultan ka khu, talked to 2,3 denters... One was saying to cut it and then add a piece of thick sheet, 2nd one said to weld the crack together and weld a piece over it, and they were all doing gas welding . Electric welding was available at goda repair shop but that guy did not agree to put a piece of sheet over the crack and weld,he just wanted to weld the crack part together, asking price of everyone was about 3000,3500 rs.
Should I go for a gas weld??
And is there any good denter in rawalpindi who can do this work with electric welding?

I have welded the part and then after a while added the rod, now car seems to be stable. But after adding the rod it gives me a ratttling or kind of knocking sound on bumpy roads. Any suggestions? Thanks

which type of bar you used? it must be hitting exhaust.

Yes it was hitting exhaust. It is Sarya with hooks welded. Mechanic pulled it downward so now it is an inch or two below the exhaust pipe, will it cause any trouble or touch the ground on bumpy roads?
Can you tell me the name of paste type yellowish paint on wheel arch? Thanks

"sarya" is flexible that's why it hits. should have installed hollow tube.
talking about seam sealer, on chassis joints?

Isn't Sarya stronger than hollow pipe?
It could be the seam sealers, I don't know. Do they apply it at the inner side of chasis near wheels?
When the welder was welding chasis joints behind the wheel , I saw some paste type material turning into fumes ..I just want to reapply that stuff to avoid rust.

You cannot get Oem seam sealer from market.
No hollow circular tubes are more stronger ( depending upon wall thickness) but in your case syra will serve the purpose.

that would be flux. used for braze welding....

very weak weld. the part is originally electric spot/mig welded in the factory. brazing never has the same strength

for electric arc welding, flux is deposited over the weld. which is removed by hammering.

no such case in brazing.

We are talking about cheap gas welding here which is actually oxy-acetylene welding.
No one does Arc welding in cars expect i had done some .
The slag you are talking about pops out if welding is done right, otherwise have to hardly hammer it down.
Originally chassis is spot welded. Which is not same as arc welding or mig welding. Then they put seam sealer on.

After adjusting the Sarya an inch or two inch below the exhaust pipe, I don't feel the same smoothness in drive, could it be due to the flexibility of Sarya which isn't supporting much on bumpy roads? Should I go for the hollow rod ?

you should end this crappy repair stuff and get that piece replaced by a suzuki dealership

Yes. Go for 1 inch round tube with 14 gauge wall thickness.
