1. Although the gasket was replaced, the head packing was re-used which was broken in two pieces. Similarly, the exhaust manifold packing was also burnt, thanks to my mechanic who forgot to install the sixth bolt on the manifold.
2. My previous mechanic had washed the engine with acid and the whole engine bay was a mess, the plastics and electric taping are rotting.
3. He also bent both of the brake dust shields to produce the noise, call it failing bearing, and called us back for charging us falsely. It was a quick fix.
4. My previous mechanic also threw away the thermostat after second head gasket leak, claiming to me he had installed a better relay instead.
5. In order to make my car 'racer gaari' he had played around with the timing and the distributor was rotated upwards.
6. Tappet adjustment was out, tak tak tak sound from engine was coming.
7. The axles of my car are a mess. Kamran bhai has suggested me to replace the drive shaft and get it done in one go when the wallet allows.
8. The 13 inch rims are bending the studs very slowly.

You have 13 inch rims? why not the stock ones with stock tyre? 145/70R12 please use stock, save money, save fuel, these fancy aftermarket alloys are of no use.

You must have noticed one thing about Kamran he takes his time with things he is not in a hurry. I personally have seen him working on a single car for a day. If something short pop ups during it he attends that else if something big he gives that customer another time..

Exactly. He gave me a time and day to come and worked on my car till 4 hours very patiently. Another customer came and went angry ke aap lift nahi kara rahe, although he gave him a logical time and date to come. Jaldi mein kaam kharab hota hai he said.

The car is silent now. Alhamdullilah. The brakes and the silencer both are good.

One of the many aftermarket modifications done by the previous owner but @geek.maan bhai the grip is SUPERB believe me it makes it worth it. The car just goes flying without problem.

It may be man .. it is just my humble suggestion as per my noob experience with these alloys and actual stock/oem rims + r12 tyre. You will probably see a difference in milage and maybe softer ride

Yes @geek.maan Bhai is right about the stiffness of these alloy wheels plus they are bigger in size then the recommended ones which in turn affect the suspensions efficiency and life, ride comfort and fuel efficiency. But they are not a matter of urgency just get your car mechanically fit first.

grip comes with tyre width. not diameter.

i used to have 165 R12 maxxis tyres on 12 inch rims.

time for some funny stuff update -- This time, its the AC (again? ) trying to act funny. Over the past few days, i noticed that the engine wasn't increasing its RPM on its own when I turn the AC on (which isn't normal)

so i popped the hood and found out that (surprisingly) one of the return (vacuum) pipe was disconnected -- weird -- the tiny pipe that forms a connection b/w the distributor and that small something/switch (i'm forgetting its name) which is supposed to increase the engine RPM when AC is turned on.

anyways, I plugged the pipe back in (since it was only one that was disconnected, so I'm confident that I didn't mess up the pipes/connections) ... as a result that auto increase in RPM was back.

Sadly, that only lasted for a day and today, I noticed very small/nominal increase in RPM when I turned on the AC. Not a considerable one like it used to be .. because of that the cooling dropped significantly, specially when I'm at a signal or a jam. Please note that Fan runs direct when AC is on.

one more funny thing is that since fan is wired to go direct when ac is switched on. I've noticed that whenever the compressor trips (turns off) .. fan keeps running (even when temperature needle is well below half mark)

another funny thing i noticed is that on a very high RPM like running on a highway with 100KM/h or so .. AC trips randomly causing a gradual drop in cool air -- to the point that I end up lowering the window of my side to get some good air .. I feel like it gets overheated? not sure. but then suddenly the compressor wakes up and starts running (while car is still doing 100-100+ KM/h.

..and another yup ..another thing is that I do hear a whistle/hissing sort of noise (for a while) from or near the evaporator unit mainly when the AC is first turned on -- or if it turns on automatically after tripping.It goes away after I press the pedal (accelerator)

I've found that AC works optimally when the car is running b/w 40-80KM/h even if I take it out around 2:00PM these days.

Please note that, AC was services (including gas filling) back in summers 2017.There can be a possibility of decrease in gas ..right?

Have u installed the rpm cluster? Whts ur RPM at 100kph

nop, its the stock one -- no RPM. I'm assuming the high RPM because of the speed (100+), engine noise (not loud but noticeable) and pedal position

yes the AC gas tends to decrease by time as the O-Rings in the system have very tiny hole in them by default to allow the flow of lubricant which cause a leakage of gas overtime.

AC should,t be tripping like this on the highway.

Get the Vaccum regulator the Switch you are talking about which increases the RPM and is connected to the Distributor checked. also check the vaccum pipes.

Let's wait for the experienced Pakwheelers to pitch in... What my humble observations, from the dozens of forums on Cuore AC I read in the past few weeks to prepare for my car's AC work, are that AC tripping is an issue faced by many other cuore owners, in many cases due to inadequate cooling and heatup in summers. They all report this problem in summers too. As you recently saw in one of the threads you attended a week ago, additing a compressor fan helped a Pakwheeler 'improve AC performance by 50%'. In your case, I think we can safely rule out electrical faults because the fan does become direct (indocating a complete curcuit) and I doubt your AC gas is low otherwise the performance would be consistently bad or the compressor would not work at all (this is what happened to me).
The whistling sound... Maybe the compressor clutch needs lubrication? In my case I never faced AC tripping problem, because one of thr like previous owners babied the car (surely not the panwaari whom I bought the car from) and installed an aftermarket compressor and genuine cuore brand new pipes, thus the system has great performance.

one major design flaw is that the engine room is really small you dont get enough air for the efficient cooling...

I also have a feeling, just a feeling .. that maybe the expansion valve isn't working like it should .. given the fact that I hear those whistle/hiss during AC start up

auto cuore has only 3 gears. so at 100kph, rpm will be above or near 4k. it was normally screaming, so i always drove no more than 80-85

i got my AC serviced 3 years ago, have not needed anything till now.

auto cuore has only 3 gears.

surprisingly mine finds another gear (4th) and runs well upto 120 before it starts screaming .. I'm sure the previous owner slapped a 4F Auto Gear of Toyota Duet or so ..

yuppie yup yup .. trying to figure this out (too) on such high rpms where I'm travelling at 100+ on highways I feel like compressor overheats and shuts off if that little thing is intelligent enough .. but why should it overheat? if it has enough gas in circulation

nearly all compressors/ac systems have high temp / high pressure cutoff switches installed in line.

cuore ac is problematic to begin with.

my cuore was in factory condition and well kept when we bought it.

i had it serviced with all new parts from thal engineering work shop (OEM denso supplier for daihatsu and toyota)

still never got it to work properly.

it would trip at low speeds or when stuck in traffic.
