Dear Friends, I need your opinion on what could be the issue here.
I had regular tuning from Toyota motors i.e. Oil, oil filter, air filter change and tappet adjustment. I changed the oil from Castrol Magnatec 10w40 to Shell Helix HX7 5w30. I am testing some good oils and getting the feel of these to get set with the oil of my preference.

Now the problem after tuning is, my car feels a little heavier. Response of 1st and 2nd gear is good but not the same instantaneous and jumpy response as it used to be before tuning. I changed oil (castrol magnatec) after 4000KM though there was no change in the oil goodness almost as good as it was on the day I poured it in. Car was performing top notch but it was regular tune up time so i went in for oil change and check up.

Shell HX7 is 5w30 compared to 10w40 Castrol magnatec, so I doubt it is making the car feel heavy. I think tappet adjustment has to do with the issue. Need your opinion please.

I have used HX7 few times in my cuore. It is good quality oil. I always feel good pickup and smoother engine with it. but it is too thin for an old style engine like cuore. it needs 20W oil for longer life. So best oils are 20w-50 oils from shell, total or caltex etc.

you need to confirm that oil was original. if it was then, also plugs, plug wires , wheel bearings, alignment, tire pressure and so on

Thx meh1 for your feedback. I am of the thought that while you start the engine in morning during winters especially, the oil should be thin enough to flow. Thats the reason I have switched to 5w30 oil while in summers I plan to use 10w40.
20w50 seems too old and thick for better fuel economy. Cuore manual also claims to use SG and later oils (since newer rated oils SJ, SM, SN are backwards compatible) while cuore manual does not bound the user to any specific viscosity. In viscosity section of cuore manual, it states the whole chart of viscosity vs. temperatures for user to pick viscosity as per climate needs.

As for the heavy feel of the car, it is funny though I will not be embarrassed to disclose to friends here haha. After car checkup with mechanic he had adjusted the accelerator cable tension and the foot had become bit heavier. Well that alone psychologically tricked me in feeling the car as heavier otherwise I have carefully gauged there is no difference in performance. Engine sounds smooth and revs great.

cuore has a very robust and durable engine. but it is a very old technology now. for example in cuore's tappets rocker arms slide against valve stems to open them. in all newer engines arms have rollers. now other side. in older oils there were additives to make film on metal to protect it. these additives r bad for environment. newer engines do not need them. so latest grade oils have them at minimum. newer engines need thin oils that can flow easily.
for cuore api sm is best. sn has low anti friction additives. thinner oils will reduce engine life. using once is a while is fine although.

Agreed with you on Flat-tappet cam/rocker arms engine are believed to require Oil with proper ZDDP additives. In addition to that this requirement is described to be mandatory for high performance engines of this type. i.e. V6s, V8s with higher BHPs and redlines etc..

totally sick of my speedometer ....again it is out of order, now the cable is ok but the needle starts vibration,

better change it. I hope it is easy to find an original in used or to buy a jdm one. I found a deal from olx for a japanese priced 1700. i met guy and he gave me for 1500. it has rpm meter and glowing needles. so I think it is time for change. I never saw a speedo fail but It is a mechanical part and can fail.

Can't it be repaired?i had same problem,i got cable changed as it was broken but still after the needle started fluctuating & don't show exact speed after 60-70,i asked mechanic he told meter ki gharari thik kre ga meter wala.

my jdm speedo.
of course can be repaired. but for reliability and accuracy better change it.
PS: there is a plastic gear under cable. problem with this gear also makes needle fluctuate and suddenly go down.

Is the small plastic gear under cable on the side where it is connected in engine or under steering side?
In JDM meters do the rpm work accurately in manual cuore models & it's working mechanism is same as in new cars?can a local mechanic,electrician etc install rpm things accurately?

plastic gear is on engine side.
rpm works accurately. its mechanism is standard. it works on pulse generated from distributor.
if you look at wiring connector of meter, lot of wires are not connected. any electrician if he knows his work can identify the place of rpm wire from back of meter. all he needs to do is to give it the rpm pulse. this rpm wire exists in wiring connector of key switch. so all he needs is a little piece of wire and make a joint.

wait and keep looking for good offers. Even in my city Sahiwal, best and perfect condition jdm one costed 3500 when i checked last time on used parts shop. I am sure you can find it at 2500-3000 easily.

I have bought this steering lock for my cuore,i went to buy those which are fixed between steering & acceletor but didn't find them of good quality.This one has good quality cost 2500 but I feel it is small for dashboard of cuore.Please suggest what to do should I keep it or replace with steering to accelerator type.

i have a question from the experts.
Engine oil leakage is being observed in my 2005 automatic Cuore. mechanic is diagnosing it as Timing Belt Bearing leakage. This has happened before with my Cuore. i need to know that why is this happening again & again ?
is there something wrong with the timing belt or there is any other problem ?
guidance from the experts is requested

bro do check ur reverse gear switch as well. engine oil can get leak from there as well.

i dont have the picture right now but as per my knowledge its near the front left tyre.
i faced this issue so thought to share this and i also wondered why engine oil was leaking from there
