Custom Duty on Camry

Hi all, can anyone give me a rough idea that how much duty will be charged on a Camry 2400 cc, Auto?

some person i know, quoted me 2500,000 and said the depreciation is for 60 months, however the Customs Car Import Guide says that maximum 50% depreciation is possible.

Also, if i buy a camry 2007 or 08 for around 12000 to 15000 USD, would that be a good price?

@OP PKTUN saheb is right import duty is calculated according to engine capacity based on OEM price list.

Cars received in Lucky Draw (gift & draw papers duly attested by Pakistan embassy of lucky draw country with all details mentioned) are exempted to 50% of OEM value for duty & taxation calculation. so far only 3 person are so lucky in Pakistan. their expensive machines have - EX green & white registration plate with 3 years non-transferrable condtion.

I just sold a 2009 Camry.... with only 100 miles... Yup with ONLY 100 Miles for $10,000.00.... For you be the best thing to do is buy from UK , You get right hand and it be lot cheper to ship too. I have no clue on duty. 10 years ago I brought a 560 SEL Mercedes Benz. At that time they told me if I take the car out of Pakistan every year I dont have to pay duty , In other words he wanted me to pay $$$$..

and that i already know that custom duty will be charged on FOB price but i was wondering if anyone can give me some idea that how much the duty goes to?

rupee maen jitni bhi fluctutation ho, price thori bohat upper ho gi na? lets say agar 18 lac lagta hai to 1850 ho jaye gi?

woh purchase price ka maen nay is liay poocha k kia yeh rate sahi ho ga to buy a car from overseas, ya 12 to 15000 maen mehngi parray gi after payment of all duties and stuff....

keep in mind that American produced camrys and corollas are pieces of schit. They are made to fail in about 5 years.

The older camrys were great, I had a japanese made one too, and you could literally feel the difference in quality everywhere on the car. There were some strange issues though, e.g. it had sunroof, CD player but no remote locks confused: But the interior was very good far better than the cheap plastic interiors of the american versions.

speaking of which nearly all american cars have extremely bad quality plastic interiors, bad to the extent of being garbage.

Jeep Cherokee 2009, Chevy Tahoe 2009 & Ford explorer 2010 have identical instrument cluster they even fail to technically copy the fineness of finishing the product.

Can someone tell me about the procedure or duty structure if a pakistani national wants to drive a car from UK or any other country to Pakistan by road.. what will be the procedure to get car in from Pakistani border and I have seen people who came with 10 year old cars and than clear those vehicles afterwards.

The vehicle has to be in one of the passengers name for atleast 6 months before reaching the border. At entry point customs will give you complete entry papers with passport number & car engine number & chassis number. within 90 days you need to visit the nearest customs office and deposit the taxes. The customs will give you entry & duty +tax payment papers. with those documents you can visit the excise motor vehicle registration office and register the vehicle in your name.

This is the process & is valid for NICOP & CNIC holders living outside Pakistan. vehicles coming into Pakistan by-road not transferable for 3 years. However ONLY immediate blood relatives as father, son, brother, sister daughter, mother & wife can receive the car as GIFT after payment of duty & taxes but before local registration.
