dude, get the O2 sensor to work, it will automatically increase the average of your car. Insha ALLAH.

well... gearshifts take a little longer now, becuz of which accelerator pedal requires a little more force to push/maintain... and the car feels a tad bit heavy as well. will inshallah be changing ecu and distro this week... hoping it works out... the mech said O2 sensor is not needed... :S

As per my limited knowledge, the basic objective of the O2 sensor is to sense if any excess amount fuel is being discharged through the exhaust header. Therefore the O2 sensor is mandatory for fine tuning, now the experts would tell the real scenario but one thing is for sure that O2 sensor is not useless ...

i know it isnt useless, i merely stated what the mech said... i plan to install a new O2 sensor... do we have new ones here?

the most safe and simple solution would be to ask for one at any honda pit stop shop, peace of mind. you can call them first to ask ... may be u can get from somewhere else too, but with pitstops, the good thing is that it is their problem then to install it and make it work

aaya tha... but my mechanic tore it off... literally... didnt know much about it then... regretting plenty now. i was told once that the sensor will cost around 6K... that sounds a bit steep... will check with pitstops.

yep! something wrong with that? the guy i source stuff from is imran mannan... he was one of the big dealers in sher shah but has relocated to a showroom in gharibabad courtesy of death threats and all... 35K without the ecu and transmission. the engine came with original filters and fluids and physically suggesting that no wrenches/tools had been used to open it from anywhere. the only thing i didnt know back then was about a compression test.

nonetheless, the engine runs fine. but i am still getting it checked out.

update: i messed around with the throttle cable and pressure cable a bit and now have achieved a rather smoother ride and a decrease in shift shocks. there was slight engine ping before these adjustments but now it isnt audible.

changes:
d15B distro
dual vtec solenoids
P2J-J71 ECU
Conversion to OBD2a
iacv replacement (pending)

results:
shell shocks no longer an issue
smoother drive
fuel consumption from 7kpl to 11kpl
acceleration slightly lower than earlier

make sure your car isnt throwing any cells btw the ecu you got is auto and it should be throwing auto gear solenoid cell d2 probably it will search for an auto gear if cells are gone you will probably see your car in 17km/l range

my car's transmission is an auto... i havent checked personally, but since there's no check light, there shouldnt be any CEL codes. the mech used an aftermarket diagram to rewire to obd2a. the current average is close to 10-11 kpl

everything seems to be running fine... except i just noticed a slight change (increase) in headlight intensity when i rev the car... alternator woes! could it be a result of something being done wrong with the ecu rewire?

Car wiring probably a relay or wire on low power do check your plugs after a while if they show a richer condition u better check for cells!
