Under Japanese 10-15 test cycle, fuel economy varies from 21 km/L for three-speed automatic transmission to 25.5 km/L for continuously variable transmission. For cars with "Smart Drive package", which come with a new idle stop system, fuel economy increases to 27 km/L .

Inside, the gear shift has been moved from between the front seats to centre dash.There is an optional sliding rear seat, with a range of 255 mm, for more luggage room or extra kneeroom.

Bought a 2008 Unregistered Mira and drove it from Khi to Sukkur. The car gave me the mileage of around 15.9 kmpl with almost 50% ac. This is without any change of oil or filters or any tunning, probably the eco will better after doing some maint. It is a L275s model in white colour and has 3 gear auto transmission. Max speed i reached was 120 kmph although the car could have done more. Mostly i maint around 105 kmph. I guess the car mileage would have been much better if i kept the speed upto 90 kmph, which is close to the ideal speed for these tiny cars.

Here is what I achieved in the two trips I measured just for the sake of finding out how good mileage can get on this car.

Car: Daihatsu Mira 2010
Transmission: Auto, CVT
Miles on car: very low, less than 10000 km on odo, and pretty sure its not reversed but its my observation based on experience and not an ego issue so feel free to think its a high mileage car.

**** Notes: This wasn't possible without extreme care during driving and a few basic hypermiling techniques like throttling AC, not pushing car hard on inclines or acceleration and avoiding situations where braking is required. Average speed on M1 was 100-105 peaking at 125 with low around 90. 3 people and luggage easily 50kg, so you can call it 4 lean people in the car.

I have mira 2010 cvt , the problem i'm facing is that when i use brakes while parking there is a "dharnn.. dhran.. or dhaonn dhunn" sound in the wheels, so why is it so? and there is another problem i've observed is the heating issue , even if i just drive 12 kms i see that bonnet is heated up then the normal, but inside it doesn't show any heat sign. so is it normal to get heat up this much? kindly help me out in resolving these two issues.

Dont change ur radiator if u r not sure abt radiator! May b its fault of gasket or anything else.
Do complete checkup of ur mira from any toyota authorised dealer's workshop than take any decision.

Did you changed the engine oil? Just do flush your engine before changing it. I am using Castrol magnetic 10w 40 and having very gud millage even on AC around 16 kms/L. If you need any help in computerized tuning then let me know, it can further improve your fuel efficiency. Tc

i have mira 2010 cvt. can anyone please let me know what is the normal rpm speed of mira? when i start the car the rpm arrow goes in mid of 1 n 2 and when i drive till speed of 70 its on 2.5. is it normal ?

there are two problems im facing with my mira L275 2007

1- A few days back when ever the cars runs for a bit and i press the brake pedal it make a sound of metal touching , sometimes its not much but if im in a left turn and press the break its horrifying , its coming from the left front side(brakes maybe)

2- Again a few days back one of the headlight bulbs when flat on low beam but the high beam worked perfectly , today when i turned the car to low beam both light go dim slowly and on high point one side works but there is no headlight sign on the speedometer .

I am taking the car to Honda pit stop cavalry tomorrow , if any one can tell me the solution or give me an idea of what is causing these things that would be really helpful.
