DAWN ad: LPG incentive

On sunday 08 April 2012, DAWN (on page 16) published this ad:

On the Pakwheels forums, there has been a lot of buzz that given the current situation of CNG, govt might want to move to LPG. Heretofore there has been no activity on the LPG front except from rumors, but a few weeks ago the SSGC LPG terminal at Port Qasim has been inaugrated, Engro is going along with their EVTL LPG terminal in the same area and now this ad in the newspaper surely tells that consumers are being prepared for the introduction of LPG.

The SSGC LPG Pvt. Ltd. website does not have any content right now, and you'll be greeted with this 'coming soon':

Point is, when CNG was launched, it was tauted to lessen our dependence on imports. If we have to import anything at all, why not diesel/petrol/HFO (basically crude oil), since the infrastructure is already in place?

Any info regarding this technology? Is the conversion simple as CNG? Same engine? Cylinder?

All the pro's mentioned are the same pro's mentioned for CNG so why switch? Besides, LPG prices fluctuate WAY more than CNG/Petrol!

Im considering one of my cars on Lpg maybe... but first i need to do all the maths, Since JDM/Auto cars arent a treat on CNG, Maybe they work better with LPG, Lets see how does it goes.

I've heard it a cleaner fuel and also gives better performance than CNG but not too sure about the cost factor. Whether it is cheaper or not remains to be seen.

lets not forget corruption behind lpg.direct pm and his family is involved in it
lpg price goes by 1--15 rupees very very frequently

Yes It may a be a flop drama like these people are doing with CNG, with over 90 Billion rupees investment in CNG Sector, they are now planning to introduce LPG for earning more commission. LNG is also future of CNG but Govt. seems not interested.

One thing is that when the LPG is available at 65rs mostly its available at 125+

Fariyal Talpoor, Zardaris Sis. owns the LPG Import Licence hence they are busy trying to destroy the local CNG sector and introduce Imported dirty LPG(remember LPG is not a clean fuel as claimed where as CNG is).
The reason LPG is being introduced is commission in huge amounts same as on other imported fuels (Petrol & Diesel)

On the same day DAWN published a comparison b/w CNG, LPG & petrol, they also published an ad (this ad also by SSGC LPG) on Adbuzzzz (National Advertiser) page 6 (lower left to be exact). Apparently SSGC LPG is looking for parties interested in building & operating LPG stations.

It is highly probable in near future there will be LPG dispensers at fuel stations (along with petrol, diesel & CNG) or independent fuel stations which sell only LPG (just like only CNG stations).
