The only LPG PSO I saw like the one shown in the above newspaper ad was around shalimar garden but that was burnt down a month ago in electricity protests. Dont know whether it is operational again or not.
That pump also had conversion centre. Offered to convert first 50-75 cars at subsidized rate of 30k. The kit costs 55k approx (figures are 2.5 month old)
Also saw a civic reborn at the pump converted to LPG but im not aware of it's performance or engine life running on LPG.
My personal view is these alternate fuels are best for public transport vehicles which cover a lot of mileage everyday and overhaul quite frequently ! For personal and home use vehicle owners hardly recover the conversion and engine wear n tear cost from the savings of using alternate fuel.
