Decided to go for LPG

current price of lpg per liter is 56.6 and it cost me just under Rs 6 per km

Which car do you have ? my PKDM Wagon R is giving me 15 km/l with 60% ac on in karachi city, it is costing me currently Rs-7.22 per kg, my monthly running is 1500 kms, I am planning to install Lpg but I need to calculate break-even period to make the decision since its installation will cost 50-60k at least. What do you suggest ?

Don't go for it just enjoy on petrol, but the rule of thumb is that you will get 80-85% of ur petrol milage so u should get from 12-13 km/ltr

if u are going towards gurumandar from teenhati side, then just before guru mandar it will be on your left side.
where there use to be an old pso station

Listen guys I just got my engine overhauled.the val were tar black and piston were also smoked greasy black.I have a fear that Lpg might be the cause of it

Today i visites hascol pump, i have put my whole cost benefit analysis of LPG vs petrol in PKDM WagonR. End result is to continue with petrol with the mileage i am getting 15-16km/l easily in karachi city.

Thing is, current per ltr cost is 56 but it goes up in winters alomost 2-3 month it is around 75/ltr. LPG conversion cost is 38k with 50 ltr cylinder. And sales person qouted me that your car will do 10km/ltr, corrola does 8-10km/ltr usually according to him plus you have to start your car on petrol and convert it to lpg afterwards. There was Another guy getting lpg filled in his charade 88 told me he is getting avg of 10km/ltr.

I did the calutions by taking different cost, no. Of kms etc and came to know that if i go for lpg i will recover the conversion cost by 3rd year which is 38k, so i think it is not much feasible option for me.

On Last Sunday, I got my head gasket changed due to the fault of a mechanic who messed upto with Block screws during tunning. I was shocked to see the pistons condition, they were so clean that I could easily read the piston number on them as well as the direction arrow engraved on the piston was clean. My mechanic told me that combustion of LPG is really good, if you had CNG in your car, those Pistons would be having carbon deposits on them. I am getting an average of around 24Kms per KG on Margalla 1300cc with heavy pedal. Tip for getting good average is using filter of good condition, Good quality spark plugs such as NGK Platinum or Iridium and 8MM silicon spark plug cables preferably american.

I believe that the previous use of cng was the cause of this.
Do you use some special Lpg or normal Rickshaw wali plain Lpg?

Whenever i start mycar this is missing problem in petrol for 5-10 sec then it is all okay after that
I guess when i turn off my car on lpg some gas is left inside engine and when that gas is out my car then it is okay on petrol

But no one else have this issue Watcan i do?

I have installed LPG kit in my khyber, per km cost is at PKR 56 Per Litre is 6.75 (with AC all time).

CNG load shedding is severe in Punjab, its open only for two days a week. But the companies are installing LPG pumps in Karachi where the CNG load shedding is not that much.
