Yea he just made it up. He was just saying " chz tooti ha " and he called it catcher pin. Lol
I am not familiar with anatomy. Not sure where was it. It had to do with engine starting. Could be related to leaf spring?
Btw he dint charge me for the part.

hello friend, need advise on which part of the vacuum pump of my 2C is the bushing that needs to be fixed to eliminate the rattling noise.

I have checked the roller at the bottom of the pump and it does not have any play or gap in its pin to create the tak-tak-tak noise

Also I cannot find an exploded view

I have a Mitsubishi L200 Animal (UK SPEC) with a 4d56T 2.5 intercooler turbo engine. It is with EGR.

It has done around 125,000 KM till date. If I pull the dipstick, I can see the engine blowing air and oil. However there is no significant blow if I remove the engine oil cap! The engine does not reduce oil and seems to run fine. In fact I can get almost 10 KM/Liter in summers which I think is quite good. Secondly the engine seems to make a funny rattling noise when off-boost.

Every mechanic I have shown it too says the engine is dying :(.

Can you point me to the right place to start a self diagnosis ?

The engine oil I use is Delo Gold Ultra.

I have toyota 2.0d saloon model 2006, mileage 411,736 KM. its engine need overhauling. can u suggest best mechanic for diesel engine overhauling in Lahore?? what about Toyota's workshops ??? are they good in overhauling especially diesel engines????

the engine is producing lot of black smoke...mileage has dropped (around 11 km/ltr)...excessive blow by....not burning engine oil yet....no starting problems...kindly guide

You can consult the mechanic I have mentioned. I have seen him overhaul several Toyota diesel cars.

sounds like your engine is in good shape - you may just be needing an injection pump calibration and valve clearance job. you will get bad blowby if your pump is mistimed.

I only know of Cummins Pakistan in Karachi - good work.

you woudl also require a dial gauge to time the pump correctly to the engine, otherwise its a hit or miss. - mostly miss

you can buy vernier calipers from metro for 400, measure disc at multiple places, if readings are close, it is fine.

wesay mechanics are rather shokeen of getting disc milled
