Another question please. Who in Lahore will be able to do valve clearance for a 1KZ according to manual as it doesn't have the 'sparrow' type rockers and apparently requires SST (Special Service Tools)

Salam to all members...
I have over heating problem with my hilux 2l engine...engine heats up when car is idle with ac on but remains normal with ac off...it also get over heated when cruising obove 80 km/h(with both ac on or off)...fan is automatic and thermostate valve is there...engine is in v good condition...what is the problem..DIESEL EXPERTS??

Give your radiator a citrus flush. You can find the procedure on these Forums. After flush, top up using a high quality coolant.

The Citrus Treatment flushes the entire cooling system, not just the radiator. It is worth a try.

A diesel CD17 Engine has started to jerk the car when accelerator is pressed and clutch is released slowly. What could be the reason? Underpower engine or Clutch system?
Secondly it wont start every time on self. Dhakka lagana parta hai, Battery problem or timing chain?

A diesel CD17 Engine has started to jerk the car when accelerator is pressed and clutch is released slowly. What could be the reason? Underpower engine or Clutch system?
Secondly it wont start every time on self. Dhakka lagana parta hai, Battery problem or timing chain?

Clutch disc damper is beginning to wear out. Those are the springs or rubber bushings between and inside the clutch disc.

you are correct, attock's diesel is GOOD, the drivers' of 2 HINO 2.5 ton water bowsers reported to get 4 round trips + 1 way [ approx 19 kms extra ] extra for every 100 liters filed from attock. Compared to 100 liters from PSO or Shell dispensers in Rawalpindi for 4 round trips only.

ironically Attock fuel is available only over Highways in SINDH

1st get the starting issue solved.

1. check for the battery specific gravity when cold & generator charging voltage
2. check for the ground between battery pole -->chassis ----> engine - replace the corroded cable with properly crimped 10 awg cable
3. check for Starter motor [ self / sulf ] cable connectivity from battery to starter motor again replace corroded shredded cable with correct cable thickness using crimped lugs.
4. for clutch check by adjusting its free-play, if needed change complete clutch kit clutch plate, pressure plate & thrust bearing.

Thanks alot I think there is some issue with the clutch and your conclusion is right, I must get the clutch system changed.
