Calibration: Ask around or call up proper repair shops ? Cummins PK may assist you.
sir today i have got my pump and automizers uninstalled from the engine and will give them to Cummins PK tomorrow.
Many people are saying that i should not go for calibration as it will make pump very powerful and engine is weak so it will kill engine even further, now i don't know what to do ? confused !!
i also tried to move the part by hand which CSD moves and it was damn hard, had to put too much force, i don't think CSD would be moving it before as it might be rusty itself, would cummins clear it ? any further advice on this calibration ?
Sounds like bad synchronizer rings, this is also caused by a bad clutch cylinder. Replace the brake fluid in the clutch and retest. If all is good and the clutch plate is good and the car fails the reverse idle test (rev engine to 2000 rpm, let go, press clutch ? engage reverse gear, if you hear it crunch into gear ? you need a clutch job ? make sure to replace the pilot bearing too.
-as far as i remember there is crunch sound, in fact if i engage 1st gear with 1300 rpm then too i hear crunch sound. will check it properly tomorrow.Sounds like a bad clutch assembly or bad clutch slave.
sir today multiple times i tried this reverse idle test, my car passed it every time, there was no crunch sound, although if car is moving little bit and i try to engage first gear then it produces crunch sound.
please reply now sir as i'll leave tomorrow early morning to deliver the pump to cummins.
