What max average we can expect from a good maintained 2.0D

As far as i know rajaatta is more towards petrol vehicles only.You better confirm it first before recommending someone else.

What do you suggest?

My Diesel Nissan CD17 (overhauled in 2017) working well, now cold starting problem.

The problems initiated few days ago. I dont know due to my "chhairkhani" or something by itself.

The problem is that the Engine runs well but when I start it usually took 3 heaters and few revs to start. Now it takes 3 tries on self ignition and a push on the pedal.

NOTE: I went to the mechanic and he diagnosed that 2 heaters are gone faulty. I replaced them, a little bit betterment is seen but it still takes 2-3 tries of long self and then a push of pedal to start. Before this it never needed a pedal push.

I believe that the diesel intake pipe is taking bubbles with it when i pull the throttle, when the engine is on.

Battery is new, charged, fixed properly.
2 Heaters replaced.

Can it be a compression issue? OMG I have not pushed it to its limits that it has developed comppression issues, I just drive it like an old baba g. I fear anytime its bones can break so i dont think it can get compression issue. what do you suggest.

engine oil was black and lubrication was good and it only ran 2000KM hardly.

My Diesel push pump is not replaced since 2017.

start the vehicle & remove fuel tank cap for 15 minutes.
either the solenoid over the pump is bad or there is some airlock in system.

Do check the pipes of fuel filter, are they loose or tight

There comes a click sound when I turn on the switch, Is it the sound of Solenoid? signaling that it is working?

I started the vehicle and removed the fuel tank cap for 15 minutes but it didnt worked.

it is still taking 3 long ignitions to start.

There is no problem in driving, CD17 is working well. it restarts easily when hot. It restarts easily if
i start it after 2, 3 hours, even when engine is not hot. It seems there comes some air in the system over night.

they are tight. but I think I just loosen or tighten the screw over the push plunger on the pump.

My TLC 1HDt (12 valve) gives 9Km/L in local. what should be its average on long? recently it has been tuned including nozel replacement (denso), vaalve clearance and diesel pump tuning.
Rest all cooling and suspension systems are working fine.

sir what do you expect from a 4200 cc engine .. in city ?? over long run approx 11 with aircon., tops 12 @qwertypoiu use to have an LC with 1HD-T if i recollect correctly.

Which thermostat valve to use in a Toyota 2C? 78 or 82 deg ?
Secondly the cooling system is full of rust(can hear cracks when I press the rubber hoses) should i do a citric acid flush ? i am afraid of lots of leaks though.

It uses 82c thermostat, and if you have been using water for long,

It will have tons and tons of rust in it. Flushing will remove it.

Citric acid flush is best and replace all rubber hoses with metal hose too which comes from engine.

Why is that every 2nd diesel corolla engine is overhauled even before 100k kms??i used to hear that diesels lasts longer than the Petrol competitor but in Pakistan the case is opposite.
Secondly i want to install taco meter in my car.my car is simple 2.0D.I was thinking to install 2.0D saloon’s optitron meter as it has a tacho.will it be a bolt on or I have to run a separate wiring for the tachometer??

That is because of idiots using and repairing them, idiot owners are those who remove the thermostat because of "thanda ilaqa syndrome" and "coolant bewaqoof bananay ka tareeqa hai" - then proceed to use super thick oils because "mota haail"

and idiot repairs people - who check the engine by removing fill cap and saying - farigh hai, ring sleeve dalaygi - and when done and still runs the same - bhai jenyan kaam to nahi hosakta naa!
