sir today i got the pump installed with new timing belt, checked valve clearances it was 0.28mm-0.30mm
one of the shim had no gap so the mechanic ustaad sent it to lathe wala for cuts in my absence as i went to buy the timing belt, rest of the shims were all in original shape, i mean no cuts (as told by mechanic).
pick has some what increased, blow is same.
now the problems,
from where to get pump timed with dial gauge in karachi ? any pakwheeler can help ?
the CSD which i cleaned and tested did not work actually in the pump, drove the car 13-15kms with hard foot and ac so engine was hot enough, i opened the bonnet and checked, there was no change in CSD, plunger did not move at all also verified by noticing cam plate advance shaft, it was also in the same position when engine was dead cold.
springs were fixed back properly and cam plate advance shaft was also in correct position - it could be moved anticlockwise when pushed hardly with screw driver.
