city corolla etc are reliable cars they are not hightech luxury sedans that you would worry about washing the engine or not if you dont wash it thats your choice and if you wash it then its also fine

I heard that washing the engine may create problems with sensors. Peoples have advised to use degreaser for engine cleaning.

Finally i have taken the pics of my car. Its feb 2016 reg, the engine area has never been washed.

For me the engine area and underbody has worked just fine without washing or spraying diesel. If that works for you feel free to continue that practice. For those dear PWheelers who have yet to make up mind, see the images i have shared and decide for yourself. End of day its your vehicle, your pocket.

Thank you. I like to keep my car “neat and clean”. I Seldom wipe off the dust from engine head plus air filter box, thats it. No washing no diesel spray.

Don't spray it, it will ruin all the rubber and bushes underneath.

Those same people dont have the foggiest idea of how their car should work, for them as long as it starts (with all sorts of shortcuts) and moves their ass from point A to B they are happy.

I just use pressurized air for engine bay esp the radiator and condenser and it does the job. I also use engine degreaser and dressing myself on a cold engine at home in a year or two as well which keep it clean like new.
