The QC standard is there - the tacoma frame rot is not reliant on assembly quality but manufacture quality - they use really bad steel and is not even properly coated - same as hilux and land cruiser chassis - they also rust in areas where they pour salt and lime (choona) on roads when it snows.
the quality of the Pakistani blow moulded dashboard is better than the Thailand one, it remains flexible for longer and is available easier in Pakistan.
You should inspect a US delivered corolla, the dashboard has no padding, it literally is "khoklaa" - you can ring it like a drum.
Point is - its a cheap econobox car - and follows the same cheap global standard anywhere you go. Yet they also advise to immediately stop any leak before it gets to rubber parts as they will fail from it.
