DIY: Air System Cleanup, Throttle Body Service & Cleaning of Sensors

On CNG Its Just Bcz of TB Cleaning ....On petrol bcz of all sensors
about bay cleaning so i either cover up dizzy and all wired sensors using plastic bag nicely and using light pressure.......wash the bay.......!!
A Light liquid Detergent Sprayed Over for Like 3 4 mins and then wash it can make it clean more.....!!
if you don't like that....grab a bucket of water towel cloth toothbrush and degreaser and start doing it one by one......!!

Good.. Thanks for the tips, can you tell me a good degreaser brand, and where I can find it? Makro was out of degreasers when I went there..

I'm also contemplating using the surf spray technique.. each pipe individually is just too much khwari!

Actually, the pipe i'm talking about is another metal pipe attached with the breathe pipe, the breathe pipe is still intact and working fine, but the metal pipe as you can see is corroded and its not connected to anything from either side. It was a water pipe previously, but its now been replaced by a rubber pipe.

Yes, I see that too That is the coolant feed pipe to the TB to heat it at start up. If you remove it and feed it back the outlet pipe back to the block there should be no issues as this is an unneccassary require and good for very cold freezing temps. But to really benefit from this an insulation gasket like the one from Hondata does help a lot and keep intake temps lower then normal hence better power about 1-3% depending on the temps according to Hondata.

As for the bubbles that is leak in the system and from what I see you do have your heater pipes which look bit old and need replacing. At this time would be good time to replace all coolant pipes and along with the thermostat, as these things with time deteriorate and get block with sludge no matter how much you take care of them.

Do also check the radiator drain valve as those do expand with time and leak.

All these heater pipes are actually new.. and they have recently been replaced. Before they were replaced, i didn't have the air bubbles issue. I am going to get my complete cooling system checked.. And i'll check the radiator also, however i got it serviced recently and it's a relatively new japanese Denso radiator - replaced my stock radiator about a year or so back.

If you're originally from Karachi, or can otherwise recommend some good guy who will look into details - i'd appreciate it.

you can buy degreasers from Marriot road near Jodia Bazar - and then proceed to clean your engine bay carefully and completely. I believe its suffered from our zabardast service stations pressure washing from a Javed pump

^ Thanks, will do. Haha yes, the Javed pump conundrum.. but I haven't let them spray a drop for the last year or so, so its gotten really dirty now.. Next week it will be spankling clean!

Yes I am from Khi but all i can recommend is a good Diesel mechanic other then that I am blank. But I believe there are some very good mechanic who have been in this profession from generations, but good luck finding them. So sorry man can't help

if your engine was ever sprayed with diesel fuel be extra extra careful with the wiring it can crack and break easily (Not to mention the black extremely oily sticky grime it leaves behind).. Cuss and baddua the person who sprayed it with diesel

check your overflow bottle pipe for tiny leaks and missing or bent pipe inside under the bottle cap - remove rad cap and and bottle cap, place finger on radiator neck hole and suck on the pipe, it should hold vacuum.

finally check your radiator cap too for a jammed or hung open relief valve and hardened or broken rubber seals. I sometmes use a 1 litre pepsi glass bottle with a pipe to the overflow nipple on the radiator to see overflow function, water should come out and get sucked back too

Curse be upon Javed pump Diesel sprayers.. Cause i am going through the pain - every time i touch a wire in the engine bay. I hope they slip on their own soap and all the diesel in their cans gets wasted away

Ok, useful tip. I will do this check-up soon. Today massive amounts of rust came out of my radiator - it is so random.. sometimes the water is clear, sometimes i see coolant, sometimes there's rust. Gaah

i dont know where other stuff is tht should be serviced so can someone give me a list for Vitz 1NZFE engine service?
Also should i be changing the gear oil, power steering oil and brake oil? The car has done 80,000kms.
