Drifting Stock Ke-70

Asslam o Alikum everyone,
I'm planning on buying a ke70 with a stock 5k engine. The car needs body work and otherwise it's ready to go. I'm a student so my budget is very low. I'm planning on using it as a daily driver and doing the occasional donuts or drifting a turn. I wanted to know will the 5k stock ke70 drift or not. The car has steelies and stock suspension. I'm planning on making custom strut bars and taking out all the seats and other bits and have a good after market steering wheel with a cold air intake. I also want to do some other mods like lowering the car but I have 0 knowledge in this field would love to know your opinions....

I've been into the car scene a lot but this is my first project car...
There are no tracks in Karachi that I know of but there are some areas near my house where you can practice donuts and e brake turns. It's a secluded area with a dirt ground and no one to stop you from ripping the e brake off your cultus

KE-70 has 4K engine. It would be wise to reinforce the suspension and drivetrain if you are going to use it to drift or do burnouts etc. Rear wheel drive is fun to drive though

The one I'm buying has a 5k engine swap. How would you suggest I reinforce the suspension?
I have to admit rwd is fun indeed..

Stock will not have enough power to keep it sliding.
Do the coilovers conversion first.
Swap a 4age or 7k-e.
You need shorter gear ratio and match with the differential.
Car you are going to buy got a carby engine can't do much with it.

nopes - still doesnt compute, - how the hell are you going to perform burnouts with a factory spec toyota 4K in an E70 chassis with original 4 spd manual box.

How much will coilovers cost?
Can't I just get a welded diff and a stripped interior?

First have you got any past experience of build?
If not then buy the car and get familiar with this chassis.
Do the homework or what and how to do.
Coilovers are expensive stuff and nothing will be straight fit. These cars got live rear suspension with leaf springs.
Welded diff and stripped interior with 5k still wouldn't let you drift.

Well me and my brother built a mk2 a few years ago.... I am experienced with fixing small things on cars or doing regular maintainence... But I don't have a lot of experience with carby engines. I am willing to learn though and I'm also trying to find a repair manual for the 5k engine.

That's good. Better to build it yourself, performance workshops will squeeze you down.
You need a wideband and some skills to make more power from carby engine.
4age can make it spin all day.

Seen alot of ke70s with stock engine struggling to even spin their wheels.
I dont think that the stock engine would be fun considering your requirement
Better to get the engine swapped

You read the logo wrong

Zoom zoom phrase also had the flying bird roundel which is mazdas logo of the 2000s

Here we are discussing an old toyota with the triangular T and the large font toyota badging.

These were built when toyotas slogan used to be

To get some fun from it, 4age ftw

And you have to slice/cut the firewall for the distrubutor and cooling system to work properly unless you are willing to make a separate coolant manifold/thermostat like the rwd 16v 4age

And dont forget a good diff and some proper suspension dial in to get it and keep it sideways.

The butt end of this car is live axle with coils so it will always have some axle wrap when launching it, and have some ill mannered nastiness as you induce the slide.

For juvenile slides from standstill (like everyone in Pk thinks is drifting) any old scrapheap can be used as a skid pig.

What if I was weld the differential slap on a cold air intake and some bald tyres?
I'm also a beginner in going sideways so just dragging the rear end might be enough for me...

How much do you think it would cost for me to swap the engine,diff amd suspension?
Keeping in mind that I'm a broke student dragging the car around with the Ebrake seems like the cost effective option...

a good drift car from an E70 corolla would cost you about 3 million in build properly.

if you are a broke student, dont go for this.

If you are just wanting to own a skid pig - buy any clapped out old rusting hulk rwd car, install junked bald plasticised tires on it and knock yourself out.
