ECU for 5afe(repair) and pinout/sensor connection

This is the pin in wiring i don't know where is it going i tried to search it in engine bay but failed if can u tell me i will set it as it should be i will remove that temporary wire for STA i have added around 4 wires 1 is for battery 2nd is for CEL 3rd is for knk sensor 4th is for STA these all wires are temporary till i be able to find actual wires

The pin in circle is of STA but its lost in somewhere in wiring

To check the knock sensor on old Toyotas race up the engine to 3000 rpm for 5 to 7 times if check engine light pops up of knk sensor then it's bad if not then you are good to go

If the dtc 51 is still there after replacing the knk sensor then your ecu is fried and non repairable because these ecus are available at all times so why to waste so much precious time and energy on it.
Once I also waste my precious time chasing and rebuilding the 1JZ and 2JZ ecus and then I realize I am missing some more informatical stuff and wasting my te on them

Sta is not there because some jugari electrition has started the engine directly with only ign wire and ignored all other wires.

Is the previous engine was carby?
Because this mess is usually practised when the engines are swapped.

Haven't changed the knk sensor as it's not available here in my city taxila. 51 code is for AC 52 n 53 codes are for knk sensor the ECU ia working properly the connections were missing as i connect the pins wd the said sensor one by one codes vanished now 51 is the only code that irritates me

I have a spare ECU but is from 4afe i can connect that too with the change of pinout but i think that 5afe ECU is working i shouldn't change it . Yes its nit much expensive as well so one shouldn't waste time and money there was a thermometer/znr diode which was burnt i changed that after that have not felt issues

Yes it was 2E carby. Well i will do my best to clear all the codes in proper way the electricians are not capable to even they are lakeer k fakeer still ithink they are better than me cuz its my first project as DIY i never mess up wd wiring i even can't connect a relay have no idea about connections

Okay so you are not far away in taxila. There is a guy Nasir electrition I think he is near wah so take the vehicle to him he will rectify the wiring he is a good guy do ask him to do it pin to pin

I will visit him someday brother first i will do it by myself m here to learn n apply that on my car. Today i connect a relay with fuel pump before it was direct with ignition switch i red in a thread where @Xulfiqar sir explained what could be terrible if fuel pump is working all the time with chabi switch. @Hassan1991 @hassantahir thank u brother i took your time but that made my day Alhamdolillah one by one codes are being cleared and wiring is about to be as it should be i hope so it will make drive smoother n trouble free.

Find a genuine circuit opening relay and use that for the pump.

Sir i need ur instant help . There is no code 52(knock sensor) no check light but when i tested the knock sensor with multimeter it doesn't show any resistance on multimeter 2nd when i hit the engine wd hammer it doesn't produce any ac voltages . Its single taar wala knock sensor kindly guide me it's working in Toyota 5afe @Vaqas1

You are testing the sensor wrong, if checking with multimeter, do not leave it on auto sense, but manually select the 20Kohms scale then test it.

For working check a hammer on the sensor wont work itself, (you will destroy the sensor if you hammer it) - the hammer test is done by mounting it in a piece of metal and then using a hammer on that metal bar or the vise holding the bar/plate etc.

OR

you can attach a scope or logic analyser to it, start the engine and pull the fuel pump fuse/wire as the engine runs, when it runs out of fuel - it will show knock activity as it dies due to lean condition.

Sir i have set the multimeter on different ranges but there was no reading at all. That is why i am worried about the knk sensor but the same time m confused there was a code 52 before plugging the wire of knk sensor from ECU to knk sensor after connecting that wire the error was cleared. I think i can't explain to u my question . Code clear ho gya ha per meri smjh say bair ha jab multimeter say check kerta hoon to koi b resistance show nhi ho rhi but the same time ECU koi b 52 wala error nhi dy raha ma kafi search b ker chuka minimum 1M ohm ka ik jga perha meri queries say teng na hoye ga

I don't have any scope just have the multimeter which i use to check the resistance and voltages furthermore its first time m doing some effort in this regard

yeah you have an ancient relic of a knock sensor, does your multimeter have megaohm scale? If not you wont be able to get any reading.

Yes it has megaohm scale but sorry to say there was no reading
