0.75'' thick . A whole sheet would cost 1.8k , which is good local MDF sheet .. It's usually 4feet x 8feet.

Any placement would do ...but not near the port ..at least a foot away

Lasani sounds smoother but lacks grunt compared to best quality chipboard

both are acceptable, lasani is difficult to handle and ull probably F it up so go for chipboard.

Double baffle karlo and make sure u use a terminal for + - rather than a hole in box

after its made seal with raisin or silicone, and yes that box design is a banger i made for ahmer shah

I will still go for MDF over chipboard .why ? Because MDF is recommended by most of the subwoofer manufacturers like JBL, alpine etc

And box of MDF is more efficient than chipboard ,its solid ,less rattles more power to sound ratio .

Yup lol !
I somehow can't able to explain properly but I believe MDF is better than chipboard!

Below there some expert words are written....I hope you do not mind reading them!

1)Stay AWAY from chipboard, otherwise suffer months of stink and irritation to eyes!
2)The chipboard thing resonates a lot on various frequencies, giving boomy sounds
3) If something is recommended so much it must be for a solid reason. Stop using chipboard. Chipboard is also known as particle board.

Yeh to siapa ho gaya:-) anyways the box is made and I was concerned about wht to place the sub but got no reply so fitted it on centre, now its drying will try it tomo

I can only guide its ur choice to learn it your own way

I have played alot with both, difference in sound is only minute

and Yes Mdf is indeed denser and heavier, but our carpenters when making boxes for spl use, dont do it any justice

moreover u can get 1 inch imported chip board in the price of .75 malaysian mdf which is never .75inch always less

These gt-5s were in a chipboard box over here, and i have yet to see some one make them perform like that
