and Yes Mdf is indeed denser and heavier, but our carpenters when making boxes for spl use, dont do it any justice

moreover u can get 1 inch imported chip board in the price of .75 malaysian mdf which is never .75inch always less

Mdf and screws costed me 1300 and 500 for the carpenter, add 50 more fir the silicon tube which I will need to seal the borders though glue is alreay applied

Now one more question, shall I paint the box with spray paint?? Will the moisture of the paint cause harm to tge box??

Bro I used 0.75" thick malaysian mdf the one which is very soft to hands(talhadon:-), I bought 5ft of the sheet and screws of 8 number, I didnt get the rates of chipboard, the petti was ready the day I got the stuff but I picked it up a day later coz I wanted the glue to dry completely

And yes there is always a difference in hands on and view on experience!

Btw,My last reply is just to define a difference between MDF and Chipboard......Rest you can guide properly!

Chipboard sheet cost 800rs in our city!
It requires 3-4 hours for making chipboard enclosure and 1~1 .5 days for an MDF enclosure.......Depends upon carpenter as well!

Single MDF sheet is more than enough for (2x subs) enclosure having width of 36"~39" .....Even though you will left with 2~3 small pieces of MDF......And you can utilize them as well by making a stool (Like I done) !

Its better to use a strong carpet or atleast rexin for a good look and safety of box!
Paint look better only on laminated wood!
