Engine Oil Drain Interval

Just got my car filled with Kixx PAO 5w40 after getting engine flushed. And a Leepon oil filter.
The oil shop guy said you have to change the oil at 7000kms, you could have extended to 10,000kms if you used genuine Honda oil filter.

But i have read at forums that we can change oil filter at 5000kms and put a new one to run the oil for 5000kms more.

Waiting for experts suggestion.

Just a piece of advise never trust mobil oil wala they always say u can use it fr 7000 or 10000 just to prove there oil is good enough but to b on safer side always check ur oil level after roughly 1000 kms

And city has got this issue of oil consumption not necessarily in older models but in newer models as well

Bro 1000 to bohot kum bta rahay hain. Safe is 3500-4500.

Im not saying to change at 1000 but just check oil level on dipstick to observe any oil reduction

I always keep an eye on dipstick.
But the question is, if the oil stays at optimum level. Can its drain interval can be extrended to 10,000kms or not?

Well it depends on oil condition .if it is still goldenish then yes u can but if it has become blackish then u would have to change it

Just keep an eye on dipstick for two reasons .1 is oil level and 2 is oil color .check both these things after 1000 km

I don't think you can change the oil filter alone without having drained all the oil. Long story short, Toyota recommends their synthetic oil (5w-40) to be changed after 10,000 km. Though I change it after around 8000 km because at 10,000 km the oil was pretty dark and I was not happy with that and of course the other reason is oil filter, i don't know if the filter would really "filter" the oil up to 10 thousand kms or not :/.

However, Petromin,Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, all company workshops change their engine oils after 10,000 km here in Saudi Arabia. Rest is up to you, if you feel satisfied, do it, if you have doubts, then prevention is better than cure........

Well in pakistan it is a rule tht if one is changing mobil oil than one needs to change oil filter with it .first of all there is no harm in it despite it cleans ur oil more than old one and second thing is its dirt cheap .

cars with genuine odo meter reading under 60000 kms may choose to change oil at 10,000 with filter. 60+ oil change is recommended at every 5000 km with filter change at alternate oil change

Car mileage is 150,000 kms.

If you are using 5w30 or 5w40 synthetic, you should change oil at around 6000km to be on safe side.
