check the mileage of any metro cab. most of them are 500k plus on the original engine without any overhaul.

PS most of the metro cab corollas with 2nzfe engines are running on 0w20.

Yes we know that manufacturer suggest an oil grade. But what is that suggestion logically based on?

in my opinion, this temperature logic is obsolete now
manufacturers now recommend straight 1 or 2 grades max for specific engine, previously they used to recommend 4-5 grades with temperature chart, now only 1 or 2 grades at max
starting from suzuki, celerio/cultus, previously, 0w20 is recommended on top priority but chart is still there

now, only the actual recommended one, 0w20
all others are gone

Secondly, in past, 5w and 10w oils were in use, but now a days, 0w is common, all new passenger cars has 0w oils in recommendation, or 5w at max
So maybe that's the reason they have removed charts, when all are using 10w or 5w oils, it's important to inform customer that he should switch to 0w or 5w from 10w incase of lower temps, but now as 0w covers complete temperature range, chart is kinda useless

But 0w20 & 5w30 grades provide protection upto 40°C temperature max. Some areas in Sind and South Punjab get temperatures above 45°C in 2-3 months in a year.

For cold start, issue is resolved because we are already at 0w oils which covers complete temp range, upto -40 till 30-45C, so half left chart, gone, which oil to use? simple answer is 0w or 5w depending upon manfacturer recommendations

Then, it's operating viscosity, at 100C, which is 20 or 30 generally
Actual point is, engine oil temperature is already 100 or 100+ in operation, that's why ambient temperature is not applicable when deciding this viscosity
It's dependent upon engine tolerances, clearances and driving parameters (like 0w40/5w40 or 5w50 racing oils for track usage, but for normal useage, back to 0w20/0w30/5w20/5w30)
So again we have to consider manfacturer recommendations in this regard rather than temperature because manfacturer knows engine tolerances and clearances and can specify a grade for their engine, at the end, right half chart is gone, chart is of no use then , I hope it helps

Liqui Moly recommends using it during engine break-in period tor reduce wear n tear.

i couldnt understand the liqui moly article if its good for new engines or not also the oil color changes so they will know i used something

CeraTec is an excellent product which actually works. I am a long time user of this product. One thing I say with confidence is it don't cause any issue.

Dealerships usually try their best to find a cause to void warranty. So yes, if they found that you mixed something in the engine oil, they will use it as a basis to void the warranty, even though the reason could be something else.

reduces engine noise make engine smooth make it more fuel efficient, its even recommended by pakwheel and to this date didnt find a single bad review that it doesnt work

its not with every oil change or anything one time is enough for 30-40 k km and psychological can be to one guy or 10 guys not every single guy out there you can read its user reviews and even pakwheel videos about it aside international user reviews.

and it doesnt mean the other cars are not running fine they obviously are its about just getting better by 5-10 percent

also i have used other liqui moly products and they arent like majority of the company claiming things and not delivering, aside its 4 thousand for one ceratec that will work for me for 3-4 years so not that much of a blow to my pocket

well according to tons of pakistanis and talking about civic x the engine noise decreased the engine was 5-10 percent more smooth and quiet and the fuel mileage increased by 1-1.5 km/l

Could be psychological like I said.

I’m looking for any tests done on it under say controlled conditions.
