By the way, I just went through Shell website and they mentioned about "Shell Helix High Mileage oil" grade 25W60 and its mentioned "for engines having mileage more than 100,000" now that's confusing...

Yeah, 2011 Corolla isn't an old car. What engine is inside? It should be perfectly fine for fully synthetic. In fact made for it...

Damn.. even 20w50 is beyond thick.. and you're talking about 25w60. It might suit a 1960s engine..

Anyway, don't get confused and don't go above 5w30. At max 5w40 but why would you do it. Sticking to 5w30 is better for a Corolla 2011.

Use genuine Toyota oil filter and change after 5,000km+ fully synthetic. Any genuine oil dabba like Shell, Total, Valvoline, Zic.

Not after 1500km journey.

Brother just get Total 5w30.
Change it after every 5000km with oil filter.
It's simple as that.

this is the reason car manuals state to use upper range of recommended viscosity interval for high speed/high load driving(means high rpm)

Change oil on every 6000km's/6 months.whichever comes first.
