Yes, I guess it should be OBD-II with 16 ports. This one has got 4 pins.

I also tried the code scanning method through clutch. And as I expected, it didn't work!!!

This is the plug which carries "accessory wires" connections for dash, meter, and other things from the ECU, it may also containt 12+V current containing wires going to the ECU. It is the plug you need to wire up to get the engine running as it should be. In an N16, you will find the female connector for it mounted on the dashboard or wall somewhere.

^^^^^ in this plug will be your "start signal" "on signal" and "Off signal" from key inserter and this jack will also contain your lovely fuel pump relay wires okay

Fuel gauge calibration s hould be same for B13 and B14.i beleive even N16 will have similiar ones. No point in making changes for a function whicih is working fine. But knowing the Renualt effects on Nissan. N16 can be different. It has star L keys here and there unlike previous models so that one can be a no go but B chassis cars should have these similarities.

I intend to confirm that whatever signal is at the output of fuel tank is getting to the input of meter cluster.

Btw, B14 meter can be installed without any cutting etc. or not??? DIY of mapping the outputs of B13 wiring to B14 meter can be done with some effort

Look what he is trying to do Mapping same thing with same. That's why i humbly told him that if he has to swap things, it should be N16 not B14 he tends to swap with his B13 meter/wiring/harness/whatever he would like. Hope you get it clear now.

I plan to change the whole cluster, as both fuel and heat gauges are not reliable, and I also want RPM meter.

Uncle jee. Ever wondered why sunny models always had Bchassis code bt 2004 onwards it is called N16? That is because N was always the code for Pulsar and not sunny. N16 is basically a rebadged pulsar. Pulsar was intended for different markets so had slight differences in mechanicals and electricals. how much volts are produced in tank and sent to the gauge in speedometer should be similiar even for these varrying models.

In case of whole meter swap N16 one cannot be bolt on. but can be fitted with some expertise. Better do it yourself. I have seen these fitted in B13 and B14 as well. If u r going through this much pain then better get whole dashboard wiring along with meter for QG 18 including the diagnostic port.

I suggest to use internals of N16 meter snd fit them in B13 cluster.

About the hydraulic clutch, I did face the clutch wire braking issue with the GA15 motor also when I had the wire one and it was pretty hard at that time even. The pressure and clutch plate sizes for the tranny which came with the QG18 are pretty huge (when I had to replace the clutch plate the one which matched was for a bluebird 4X4 version) and operating it from a wire based mechanism would have been an issue

He is right actually but they burn because they are not wired properly.

Well what the poor guy knows about it is not correct. Its one hell of a reliable meter and you can save all the hassle by making that little circuit @ghuncha did which I am unable to understand at the moment, because I was not aware of it back then when he did it.

That B13 which you are building has already eaten a lot of money. Why not spend it wisely for a change?
