btw star - in your closed thread I see you installed new ball joints - you mentioned there was no grease in there and you slapped it with some mobil xhp220

Such ball joints come with a threaded plug which you have to remove and install a zerk fitting to fill the grease after the item has been installed to the car, It takes about 10-12 pumps from a lever type 5000 psi grease gun to fill the joint and boot.

Did your ball joints have this?

One can remove the plug and install a zerk even now, load the same cartridge in the grease gun and fill em up.

@IsbCap with RPM not connected we can only make gusses. Secondly if TPS is even not connected car cant reach 6k RPM........ is your throttle body driven by wire or electronic?

check for vacuum leaks in the manifold and the throttle body for this rpm craziness issue.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions.

The TPS is driven by wire. And like everyone suggested, mechanic has pointed out that Throttle body seems clogged. Lowering the RPM through cable adjustment didn't work well. And car's missing and running like a donkey cart.

It was evening, so throttle body wasn't opened. Will fix it tomorrow, IA

Also the silencer gone bad near the point it is connected with engine. So that's also one reason for poor performance.

rpm adjustment is never done by loosening or tightening the accelerator cable. Get a new mechanic. This one is bz hacking up your car and wallet.

With the type of issues you arementioning, i wont like to shoot in the dark. better to see the car and diagnose. If it is DBW i will be stumped because of the bijli involved anyway.

Yup, multiple issues. Didn't like the (A) associated with reading the wiring diagrams without getting into the basics. Now seems I have to do it, by hook or by crook

Searched for @xulfiqar's thread about tools to list down the important ones and gonna procure them today. Planning to do the throttle body cleaning myself.

Had to drive to Ghouri Town, when the car seemed to heat up due to RPM issue. So went to a mechanic (not my regular mechanic) in Khanna pul and asked him to fix the RPM.

Went to same guy in the evening and analyzing the situation, he told to re-visit in the morning to get the throttle body cleaned.

I hope neither he nor me get a pat on back now

regarding that "silencer" issue, I told you many months back actually on 31-10-2013 to be precise to do proper exhaust work. You did not listen you prove it. This means that writing in your thread is useless :(.
