Engine swap on civc

hi everyone . i needed gerenal advice and opinion on the matter that say i have a 98,99 or 2000 civic would it be possible to swap on an engine from 05 vti or 1.8 vtec. and what would be the cost for the whole process. and would any modification wll be required to engine bay or suspension . or it would a simple clean swap.

Once i asked my mechanic to swap 1.8 Altis engine to my 86 Corolla.... Alteration needed as the shape is changed (so as in ur case). The whole cost of Engine+Wiring+Labor+Calibration was 160K roughly. Honda is a bit expensive, so have an idea dude

Why would you want to swap a 05 Civic's engine into your 96-00 Civic? Your engine is fine. And you'd need to modify for any of the engines you mentioned. If you really want to swap, go for a B16 or B18.

what i am trying to ask is instead of going for engine overhaul etc is it possible to put a less used 05 vti engine that i believe has 25hp more too then the 99-00 model engine.

^yes it is, in fact its pretty easy due to the endless space in the older model civics

I would recommend to go for a B16A or B18C engine which comes with civic of your model. The engine from 05 civic is diferent and its not a recommended swap. B16 or B18 is abolt on swap for this civic.

Cost will be around 150K for a B16 and 250K for a B18C swap.

B16A Is Not Bolt-On On Any Civic Except It Got B16 As Stock Engine From Factory Which Belongs From Just SiR's....!!

D Series And B Series Have Mounting Difference So You Need To Make Them....!!

Altis 1zz-Fe Into 86 Rolla Is Possible But Why When So Much Better Options Are Out There....!!

Some E Series or A Series Would Be The Best Suited Engines....However 4AGE Comes If You Need Some Performance Class Motor....!!

i dont think there is any mount difference in d and b series engine. i have swaped b16a in our 97 civic, no mmodification was required it was a complete bolt on.

dude go for d15b 3 stage vtec it would cost around 50k +/-, and u get 130 bhp, after this u can take on all altis and reborn's.

why 100k difference in b16 and b18? only stroke is longer

come to think 7age build will give more power than b18 and cheaper to built - in that case buy charade and 7ag it

this is going to be expensive civic project. only stock engine going in for 250k base price before other exp. rest i dont know what happens next.

Go for a normal B16A2 or if you got extra cash to splash then get any B18 (not B18C4, you're better off with B16 then that) or B16B
