Im saying that IMC are morons for advising a hot 20 cst oil in a dual vvt engine, when nearly all global markets are exclusively specifying and installing hot 7.0 cst oil.

I agree, that's nearly twice the viscosity of even a 30 weight oil.

You are confusing two different engines, the 350GT mustang uses the voodoo V8 which takes the 5W50 motorcraft oil (its another galaxy kind of crazy) - the 3.5 turbo V6 and small 2.3 turbo uses 5w30.

your piss poor corolla can never ever reach that amount of torque or oil temperature, the bearing clearances are very tight on a corolla too, using a thick oil will prevent proper oil flow to them (bad oil flow = bad lube and bad cooldown = dead engine = lost money = IMC getting richer by customer buying new engine)

Brother I think the commercially available thinnest possible engine oil grade yet for gasoline engines is 0w-16 (not 0w-15), and the very same is being poured & recommended by Toyota USA in some of their vehicles (2.5L Camry, Hybrid and Non-Hybrid both, just to give example).

I've seen a guy pouring khula oil in his Khyber and he made fun of me up on advising to go for right oil, and he proudly stated "mein tou khula oil daalta hoon, company ke dubbey ka kya faida?" The engine ceased after a while.

In another instance I came across a guy at lube shop asking for gear fluid for his Honda Vezel that uses CVT HMMF fluid. The lube shop guy told him the price and that guy said "nahin mujhe regular ATF oil hee de dein". The lube shop owner tried to convince him to go for the right HMMF fluid and warned him that ATF oil will demage the CVT transmission permanently but he insisted "jab ho ga, dekha jaaye ga". He bought ATF oil to put in Vezel's CVT transmission.

hahahahahah no i tear off all PANNIS at dealership and have this habit of reading manuals of everything I buy. Strangely I find manuals very very interesting, plus that way I do not have to ask idiotic questions at forums.

Its amusing though how people are recommending 5w50... and coming up with things like pakistanis drive fast and pakistan has hot climate... average speed at Pakistani cities would be between 20-25 only.

Ive come to know that people have started to sell the no.5 inspection sticker on the gauges that is left at the IMC assembly line.

So people can make their cars "jenyann"

hahahahahahahah those idiots never remove it for years, I wonder if they cherish the factory dust too? I asked someone sarcastically if he had that sticker aftermarket as it looked so cool... he thought i was being serious and said it came from toyota they have made sure it stays jenyaan till next buyer.

I have seen people collecting oil from exploded transformers in Karachi, its good for "Joint Pains'

Remember that incident where people were burnt to death trying to collect soil laden gasoline from an oil tanker which rolled over near Bahawalpur coupe of years ago... its not that they could have used it in any form. Or made aloo gosht in it at home. Our people's greed is only matched with their jahalat.
