Day 5:
Our 2nd day in Nathiagali started off with a long walk. The weather was wonderful. A crisp breeze with clear blue skies and lush green layers of pine trees in the Galyat range for as far as the eye could see. Enjoyed the walk, enough to build an appetite for the buffet breakfast waiting for us in the hotel dining hall. My sons were fast asleep. By the time they got up the buffet was over so they had to head to the market for a late naashta.
Another easy and restful day. Shukar Alhamdolillah! In the afternoon we decided to go for a ride and explore the winding roads of Nathiagali and ended up at the Governor’s House. On the way back, stopped for some lunch and enjoyed Afghani Pullao and Chicken Handi followed by soft-serve ice cream. In the late afternoon, we hiked up to the Nathiagali recreation park, and the famous Nathiagali church and then down the winding road back to the bazaar.
We had a light dinner of just hot & sour soup in the dining hall. Too full to have anything else. As usual, there was a bonfire that kept us warm while a small group of qawwals entertained us late into the night.
