FAW V2 Owner's Review

Brother V2 is a perfect car for Highway and Mountains area, and specially it is designed for Cold weather and long journeys, luckily you have authorized dealership at your city so for you its not difficult to maintain your car, still you can get services from other Good Dealerships like Toyota and Honda for routine checkup of car and for routine maintenance, some people who do not have dealerships at their cities but still they maintain their car with genuine parts, they just buy spare Oil filter, air filters and brake pads etc that are required to replace periodically, no special maintenance required otherwise. First 3 Inspections are free for V2 for which you have to visit any authorized dealership, similarly for claiming any faulty component on warranty you need to visit dealership otherwise V2 is a Robust car and easy to maintain.

So my uncle came from abroad a few days back. He has a few garages there. He saw my car and was interested in taking a look. I opened the bonnet, and he was like, oh, this is all Toyota. That part is from Toyota yaris, that one from camry, and so on. He was impressed by the build quality as well. Gave me more confidence on the car.

So, even if one doesn't go to the authorized dealer, anyone who has worked on a Toyota will be able to work on V2 easily. If you look closely, u'll see that the engine looks the same like XLi, GLi engine, just inverted. The exhaust is in front in V2, and intake at the back, the opposite is true for Corolla. Apart from that, it's all the same almost.

I drive a suzuki khyber now. Mostly I drive within the city. Usually twice a month I visit to my hometown ghazi thru mountainous region. Other than that I mostly drive within city or to ISB/PEW.

is anyone having this issue when ever you press sudden high acceleration from stand still there is alot vibration in whole car and this happens everytime the vibration is for just a sec but it lead to whole car going into vibration mode.

Whats the average you getting?
There is no confirmation about the auto variant. So if you want to change now get it soon.
Or if you need a automatic better buy any other.

Average is approx 7-8 kms in city. Around 12 on highway.
I am not in a hurry however I am looking into options to upgrade. Maybe in a few months time.

Brother automatic V2 kay abhi filhaal koi chances nahi hain, I would advise you to book V2 before Jan-2018 as it is taking more than 2 months for car delivery, V2 ki ajkal kaafi behter sale hai, Fuel average wise V2 is very good for long drives, like I am getting 12-13 on city and 17Km/L on long route with AC, and without AC in winter season average increases reasonably, like I am getting 14-15 in city without AC. I am using V2 since a year and now I am in a position to give you a few tips to increase fuel economy as well as dust proofing of car.

May be some loose components in the Engine Hood or bumper body, Vibrations issues are in General present in V2 on bumpy roads as well as on engine high RPM, you should not worry alot but for peace of mind get your car general inspected from a famous showroom like Honda, Toyota or Suzuki for advice, and then claim from FAW showroom if any component is faulty, waisay ye V2 ka common masla hai, nothing to worry about it, bcz V2 Noise Insulation and dust insulation level is not super Quite so you will feel engine noise inside.
Another Advise, check your Bonnet Rod and Tape it if its loose, similarly check your front bumper plastic grill and if it its loose then put some packing/tape in its loose space, hope that vibration will go away. Meri gari mein yeh do maslay thay I showed at FAW showroom and both got resolved by simple black tape.

Niazi bhai see below images for your fault rectification, simple tape or double tape will resolve your problem, best method for you to say someone to sit on driver seat and press the accelerator and yourself find the fault from outside and put tape where you see vibration,
Again I will say with little plastic or rubber components issues one cannot Question the Durability or build quality of V2, such issues exists in every machine, the key is how a User address and handle the issues of his machine by himself.

Thankyou for your detailed response and it will help me alot with many other things but my main specific concern was not vibrating due to road or bad patches its like when i accelerated the car really hard the acceleration start with a vibrating of whole car maybe its the vibration of engine at high rpm that causes whole car body to vibrate as the mounting area between engine and car does not have good vibration dampening rubbers

Yes thats what I meant to Explain, its not a problem to worry much, just check above loose parts while the car is stopped and Engine is running, little plastic components vibrate on Engine high rpm.

Have you done deadening under the hood or does it cone from factory

Engine vibration should never translate to the body. I don't observe any such vibration while accelerating in my car. You should get your engine mounts checked.

cks in any Used car. Price bracket wise phir Wagon R hi reh jati hai V2 ke comparison mein aur us ki Body city use kay liye to theek hai but not meant for highway drive. Overall V2 is a Solid Built car, it proved its strength in minor and major (Godforbid) accidents here in Paksitan

yes doors and other body parts comes from ferrari and lamborghini i think so

FAW is making toyota cars in China, apart from Volkswagen and Audi as well. These cars, with their respective badges are made in FAW factories. Before FAW launched V2, it was selling rebadged Toyota Vitz first gen with the nameplate of Vizi, using Toyota 8A-FE 1.3l engine. After the lifecycle of that car was over, FAW redesigned the Vizi into Vizi V2. FAW also designed the CA4GA1 1.3l engine copying the Toyota 1.3l engine. If you look at the engine block, you can see that it clearly resembles the Toyota engines. The design is the same if you remove the top plastic cover, the coils are placed at the same place in the same way, the intake and exhaust design is the same. It was essentially an updated version of Toyota Vitz first gen in China.
