FAW V2 Owner's Review

I know how frustrating an experience like this can be, especially with a brand new car. It is very unfortunate but out of thousands of cars sold there is always a chance someone can get this bad luck. As they are only machines made by humans and mistakes are possible.

But the good thing is they have honored the warranty and you are getting prompt service. Out of so many owners on this forums and elsewhere only you have had this problem. I think we can chalk this out to bad luck.

Hopefully the car will make up for this in coming years and make you happy.

Ok...gentlemen i have defended v2 aggressively in the past....but my views have begun to change....its clutch master cylinder failed out of nowhere without any pre warning......although the dealership is replacing it under warranty....but i wonder if this has happened at only 1500km....what else will happen afterwards....a person buys a new car to avoid such things but i think thats not the case if u buy a new V2....my whole day was wasted because i had to somehow take the car 25 km to a dealership and they will have to keep for two days or so for the replacement job......
A cars basic mechanism should not ditch u like this....highly dissapointed ...and i think i might regret my decision to buy this piece of Chinese engineering.....

I met the owner of twin city motors Isb a couple of months ago... he used to have 3s dealership of Faw as well as Hinopak a year ago. When I asked him that why he was no more a dealer of faw, his answer was "Boht 3rd class quality hai faw products ki... itny ziada warranty claims atay hain k tang agae thy hum log roz larae jhagray aur gali galoch se. Phir company bhi do-numberi krti thee .. kae bar aisa hua k new car k shocks fail ho gae within days or months, replacement k lye bhejay to wohi rang roghan kr k wapis bhej diye..."

Similarly, people celebrating the launch of United Bravo under 700K should know that it will have the same Mehran engine but made in china which will fail them within a year or two...

This is quite unfortunate with you.... But this can happen to any other car, may it be a Chinese car or a German. The good thing was the you got it replaced under warranty.

Just visit and spend a day at any Suzuki, Toyota or Honda Dealership and see the customer complaints there. The only difference is between the Chinese products user and a Japanese/Korean car users is their perception. The Chinese car/product user will always blame it and will say it happened because it’s Chinese and for other makes they would either take the blame on themselves or would accept it that it might happen in a one off car.

You are probably the only person on this forum who faced this issue but that doesn’t mean that all V2s have this issue.

I have been using V2 since last 3 years almost and have not face a single issue and I am quite happy with my decision. Although the car is being driven by my driver for family use.

who build I phone it is build in china

my uncle has v2 for at least 2 years and i drove it many times it didn't give me or to my uncle any problem it can happen with any car and what is so 3rd class in v2 they use same kind and quality of plastic as wagon R and new cultus what are want to drive BMW then pay for that price and **

who build vitz engine in china faw does and please i dare you to say vitz is 3rd class and new cultus is better

2nd point i have a Mehran and Honda city i know who much faulty and over price mehran is and are u kidding me are you seriously saying Mehran is better then United Bravo

FAW and PSO entered into a collaboration. FAW handed over specially designed 10 oil tankers to PSO's contractors, which meet the latest requirements of OGRA and NHA for transportation of oil.

My car is 52k kms driven in 3 years. Never had this problem with clutch, or any other problem overall. Even if it does happen, it can be a one off case.

Salam Guys. Need your urgent help. I bought a brand new wagonr few months back and after driving her for 4000k i noticed that oil level is dirty. Got the oil changed from suzuki outlet and started driving. After sometime i randomly checked the oil level and found to be low which started bothering me as the car is new it has just clocked 8000km on the odo. Yesterday in the evening, i visited their workshop just to inspect the work and see the issue. On my arrival, half of the engine assembly was opened and the team was working on it. I went to the mechanic and after a casual hello hi, i asked him what is the issue? He said the valve seals are deshaped. You can check it, they are placed on the table. I got hold of them and started inspected as per my little knowledge. Out of four, two were deshaped. I mean if you hold them and start rotating along …

I am not saying that that particular product is faulty and they are this and that, but, let's just acknowledge that issues can happen everywhere. And if PakSuzuki with their history and production capacity can't even roll out cars with 100% satisfaction level, let's not be that harsh on a newcomer.

And it is not limited to Suzuki or FAW, or only in Pakistan, Honda's airbag recall is famous worldwide, Toyota's brake recall is famous and became the target of a class-action lawsuit in the US. These are much bigger companies than FAW, and these issues are much bigger issues than a faulty clutch master cylinder, in one car among the thousands sold by AHFM.

Very unfortunate experience, u have every right to feel that way.. i can imagine ur situation that one is unable to drive his new car due to such failure... but same time u should know that there are many others who are yet to face any such problem. I have driven my v2 for some 60,000 kms without facing any such major issue.
As said by other members problems can arise in any car but some ppl have such mentality that they start bashing v2 as chinese and blah blah...
So hopefully ur problem will b resolved without delay and u will b able to drive your v2 without any such failure in future..

iam sorry if i hurt anybody feelings here....
I did alot of research before buying this product...but no such problem ever came to my knowledge. ....
Once it happened to me i highlighted it in a whats app group of v2 owners and came to know that there were a few other cases besides me.....then after a detailed discussion with the dealership i also came to know that it is a known problem and that company is sending modified clutch master cyliders as a replacement......
I mean if its a known problem then install a modified cylinder right from the beginning.....why wait for a failure....its pure tukka cost saving mentality....jis ka chal gya us ka chal gya, paisay bach gaye, baqi replace kar den gay......laikin nobody counts for the khawari one has to go through....this attitude will eventually bring a bad name to FAW brand

By the grace of Almighty i have bought new cars in the past...and suzuki brand was bought more than a couple of times....although suzuki's quality is pathetic for the price....but the cars never broke down in the middle of the road. ...if you carry out basic maintenance. ....its the first time it has happenen to me......and for that i am crying out loud

Did not want to say more on this topic because it seems as if I have a special & irrational bias towards chinese products but ur above lines forced me to say a few words. Yes, reliability & durability are the things that have earned respect & customer loyalty for japanese manufacturers. But these things are unknown to our northern friends.

Lights , bumpers , side mirrors etc. and are they only available at dealerships of FAW ?
I want to purchase this car and comparing it's parts prices and availability with it's competitors

I got to check out a V2 today, relative got it.

Liked the car. Drive was smooth, good acceleration. For the price point I think it's an excellent car.

I was told by the relative that the dealership told him that the engine must not be washed with water, they (dealership) will wash it with fuel. Surely that can't be true?

Dealership is right about not to wash the engine bay with water as it will damage the electrical components if care not taken properly.

All manufacturers give this suggestion to not wash engine with water. Some cars also have it printed on the bonnet as well. It is not good for the coils, ecu and other components.
