Finaly 5AFE Swapped in EE90

I was checking my Fuse box and found two fuses with constant live.

You can see in the pic below. One is Stop lights one other is ECU-B I guess its a BATT one.

So ok to connect ECU BATT to ECU -B?

Ahsan is this filter you installed in engine bay area?

Hmm I tried to locate a wire from radio but no live wire in there the only wire i found was also run direct from battery

The wire i am gona run will have a fuse.

Did you know the fuel quality here?? and these EFi's work on HPHV rather than LPHV on older cars.....so fuel filter is must along with underneath 2 steel lines of approx 8mm for main supply to filter and return to tunk........!! no rubber pipes else you will make youself in great trouble anytime on road........!!
install fuel filter and get all stuff checked......!!
this is why The swap i do takes 15-20days and swap common people so takes 2 3 days :S

If Its Fused +12V constant Then No issues....!! make sure to install it correct from other pole of fuse not directly from main pole.......confirm your connection by removing fuse...

Yeah well sadly this is my daily runner and I cant even spare it for one day :p. Thats why these things i guess were ignored not by me but i guess my lack of knowldge how the EFI whole things work. But i am learning Fast.

Fuel lines are original ones now rubber pipes are there. Like from Steel line to Fuel Rail there is a pipe in between. which is connected via normal CLIP :p.

All these things will be fixed inshaAllah. You guys should appreciate the fact that i am looking for problems i know hundreds of people with EFI swaps done same way but still they dont care about these things

yes that fuel filter is placed in engine bay just where the old plastic fuel filter used to be...

anyone have any idea how much a good new filter costs? im guessing even this filter was a used "kabli" piece lol...

when i opened up the out line on the fuel filter, i didnt get any spray of petrol. I thought these lines were supposed to be pressurized! does that mean the filter is gunked up and choked?

i have replaced 2 fuel filter in last 6 months...cuz of bad quality petrol...fuel filter is must bro

which car was that? plus i think im gona remove the out line on the filter and switch on the fuel pump. see how much petrol it can deliver in that state...

if you dont get fuel pressure when you loosen the fuel connection at the filter after engine shutdown - you have a bad antidrain valve in the pump or the pump does not have it at all in its design.

In any case the system should hold some fuel pressure for at least 30 minutes after shutdown

Desi way of checking the fuel pump which i saw people doing it lose the nut on the fuel rail little bit and if the pressure is good you will see fuel comin out real fast.

They did checked mine and the pressure of pump was good.

I will get Suzuki Baleno's fuel filter installed in the car Ser also suggested if toyota original is hard to install get this one.

lol used filter - Ive seen these pathan bhai sell them, I ask them why are you selling used fuel filters - they say - jenyan hai bai - naya se acha, (too much bad naswaar I think)

a new corolla AE101 filter costs Rs 1700/- you can also use a daewoo racer filter in it - its about Rs 600 or something but has thicker connections

I sometimes itch to beat up the desi way of checking things, HOW in the world can you determine that you have 45 psi fuel pressure just by looking at a shower of petrol. The correct way is to have a pressure gauge and adapter for the fuel filter banjo or quick release (whatever equipped)

If you are a mechanic having a shop and see many EFI cars each day - its not all that expensive to make a fuel pressure gauge assembly

to TBody cleaning i had to take out sum petrol so i disconnected the return line in engine bay and put it in a container, i switched on fuel pump and watched the petrol come out of there. i collected around 400ml in approx 20seconds...it was a small container and fuel didnt even have enough pressure to spill out of the container....

Dun know about KHI but pindi isb is all about desi way. I have yet to met some one other than my mechanic who will even accept or learn the right way

Hmm few models of walbro pumps i was reading can deliver upto 255L of fuel per hour so your pump seems to be not making enough pressure.

The return line is after the fuel pressure regulator - the pressure you need to measure is before the fuel pressure regulator, if you are seeing fuel out of the return line then (believing your FPR is upto spec) you have correct pressure. FPRs do fail as they are a rubber diaphragm and live in heat/petrol environment.

speaking of desi ways - There is a reason why proper shops are successful and grow business. They invest in the TOOLS of their trade, of all the tools Ive made, I got returned more by quite some magnitudes, whether in cash or other means. (other means also included reliable trouble free transport or just making new freinds in life)
