Those Mechanics Have Pressure Sensors in their eyes and fingers stopping flow with hands and watching flow and here you go....!!

phir mein aap ko din mein paanch namaz ke baad - bad dua mein yaad karoonga.

Ive seen these weirdos say that nozzle injection pressure has nothing to do with pump performance. :o - neither does the pump advance internally - they honestly do not know how the thing works.

worse with setting up the inline pumps of older mercedes benz diesel. Those pumps are ROCK SOLID and require intricate adjustment of each element for proper fuelling at each cylinder. The way they try to set it up, forget performance, it'll be a darned miracle if it can start and idle quietly

I Have seen them checking fuel pumps and i Laugh My **** Off Watching them
Literally they find a long clean place and spray with pump and see who throws more far away Hahahahaha
some use fingers in front to check ...... some just watch fuel going and say....see....itna taiz ha

i remember one nice incident and that was so funny which happen when they are checking pump
sometime i just can't stop laughing on those people doing weird stuff

you guys are having quite a laugh here...
i have my share of experiences too...most recent one in peshawar. I asked the guy to set the distro timing using timing gun and he said nai isko us taraf ghumae ga wo udvance hoga aur is taraf ghumae ga to aista ho ga....lol

1st day: i asked the guy to wire up the check engine light properly. behind my back, he hooks it up with the battery light!!

2nd day: i asked the guy why are there so many unconnected spliced wires still on the ecu grips? why arent they connected? He said, ye aisay hi hota hai, factory se aisay hi ata hai....i told him bilkil sai kaha, jis angrez ne ye banaya wo bohat kamina hai....

Its a sad state I know, everyone wants easy money; what happened to the good old phenomenon of hard work and honest pay our ancestors talked about.

If it keeps up like this - I am sure we wont have a country to look forward to in the next 50 odd years

Check engine light ka maine kaha electrition ko he said us per sir kharcha kafi aiga i was like kharcha kiun you need one wire to go from light to ecu negative check light pin out he was like khamoosh

Normaly if you insist too much they will connect it with battery or engine oil light

Here It Goes Like There's a Guy just beside my mechanics place where he sold old used fuel pumps and stuff......!!

so he was checking an Inline Pump for Corolla Xli In desi manner........!! like they do and i said
Some do finger method some do eye method and so do distance method
so he was doing distance method and was showing pump throw to buyer....!!

He was so ------------ that he tries it directly on gasoline as mostly Diesel is used to check these pumps........!!
so chota was holding connections and he was holding and sinking pump and checking throw.......!!!
Chota so so excited watching pressure that he don't even know where the hell he's putting connection and he short the +ve and -ve right onto that gasoline filled container .........!! and you know what happen next Booom .....fire caught

fun part is the person holding pump was so scared that he kicks the box along with pump onto road ........!! chota was watching WTF just happened and shouted due to burning fell on hand and the buyer was hell running as he was just standing right where he kicks the bucket....!!

Long story short ..........thanks that nobody got hurt and bike standing just side by got saved from thrown burning can ......!! but their faces worth watching and we laugh our **** off for countless minutes just on that later they are trying hard for pressure and resulting in that all.....!!

my share of experience. I was helping out a freind with his Ssangyong Rexton problems at a mechanics place (FPR problems - btw the fuel pressure in a mercedes/ssangyong CDI is about 26,000 psi)

anyways - its a complex kind of placement and I see an old 123 mercedes being worked on at another shop- they guys are starting it up for the first time after overhaul. Good - and I get back to work. A little while goes by and I hear the mercedes engine scream to what sounded like 7000 revs and a cloud of smoke - the mechanics ran away - and other bystanders too. I run with heavy hammer in hand and a wad of cloth to the car and break away the diesel feed pipes to the injectors while stuffing the wad into the inlet shutting it off. The engine had runaway at full fuelling with no speed control

upon inspection I found that the diesel pump vacuum stop plunger was not connected to the rack inside (behtreen diesel service shop) - and the mechanics did not even bother to apply vacuum to the stop plunger before starting. The engine was restarted to hear some nice loud knocks.

on my car's previous engine i got to experiment and find out what mechanics say about different things. Toyota rawal guy's head mechanic after driving the car on petrol said its completely fine though it was getting bogged down uphill....haha. Pathetic.

Im curious mr.zulfiqar, are you an auto enthusiast or a kinda-mechanic by profession? Mashallah you know your stuff well. Im glad.

Im not a mechanic by profession - studied applied chemistry - work in IT/cars.. lol haleem of a life isnt it.
