K16R-U11 are resistance one I guess. Not sure about W16EX-U i am using right now. Almost 30k old ECU is still alive :p....

In local market people prefer Denso over NGK....

tap into the igf signal and measure the Hz - it should be 55 or near 55 hz and it has 4 firing poles. 55x60=3300/4 = 825 rpm

low rpm with lazy stabilization also leads to a diagnosis sequence of checking the gaps of the NE (crank angle/speed) sensor in the distributor. The gaps should be equal on both and should not be covered with the molten wax from the condenser on top of it. If the capacitor is melted - you can fit a new one easily - its the usual 0.47u vareity.

CNG need timing advance more than stock ECU can do (Octene- CNG 120,LPG 97,Petro 90-95 in my country) LPG is ok but CNG need more timing before TDC if you need perfect IDL.

personallly i like dark gun metallic. but it depends on your ride's colour, rims have to match/contrast with that.

The racing sparco NS2 looks good in its original white color or with a colored lip and some people like red spokes.

Issue is Gun Metallic will be kinda dull. And Silver is too common

guys, i changed 2.0D with 5AFE recently. i've problem like in morning when i start the engine, RPM goes up to 1400-1500 and after 10-15 mints these get down to 1100 while in other cars it doesnt go up that high. what might be the problem ? choke or any sensor malfunctioning ??
I tried to adjust the RPMs on 1000-1100 when the engine is cold but after sometime these drop down to 750 OR 700 and car start shaking / vibrating.

any suggestions ???

Yaar try not to fiddle with RPM of 5AFE. There is no RPM adjustment in this engine so you should have kept it stock.

When the engine is cold RPM will raise to 1200 or 1400 as soon as the engine get to normal working temp it will go down to normal RPM.

If its taking 10 to 15 Mins check if you have thermostate installed. With thermostate within 2 to 5 mins RPM comes down to Normal.

At Idle your RPM should be around 800 to 900.

sadly - our mechanics think that they are better than the people who designed the engine, they dont even bother to read the original warning sticker on the AE100 corolla bonnet which says that there is no rpm adjustment.

The mechanics try to play around with the throttle stop screw which is calibrated at assembly, and end up in a damaged throttle blade or worn out throttle bore or a completely misaligned TPS - which then causes compounded problems.
