1) @vaqas1 could u give me any leads as to who has a clean 4afe lying arnd there?? or any place else in pindi, help on tht wud be appreciated!

I wont recomend 4AFE as most of these are civil engines from 1.6 GLI . Price of 5AFE/ 4AFE/ 7AFE is almost same so go for 7 AFE which is same fit but outstanding engine. I bought my engine from Abdul Malik and Brothers. Reason the two brothers I felt were more honest than most people n Mithu Khan who are there to fool you Numbers of both of them is Asghar Khan 0300-5275007 Akhtar 0300 - 5077747

2)who did u get the wiring done frm?

THat guy was provided to me by Asghar khan though good thing was the wiring of my Engine was 90% uncut so not much they had to do.

3)upgrading the brakes, all discs + abs....i believe trasnplanting the whole system frm another car wud b a better idea? any suggestions ppl? @vaqas1 & sinner , any recommended mechanic for tht
ABS I dont think you can do that but you can upgrade brakes if newer model brakes can fit in your car.

4)also need stabilizer bars at the front for my car, any1 has any idea on where i can get my hands on them

On Petrol I found 5AFE to be very powerful. The guy i bought engines from Had two 5AFE very clean and the one that was more clean than my engine was sold one day ago.

Now there are two types of engines in Market thats what people say. One that come via torkham burder they get kinda abused in transportation.

Other via containers on ISB dry port. the one i got was dry port one as per the seller. Now the gear of this engine is more expensive than engine the gear is around 18 to 20 thousand for a imported qabli one. Some of these engines even got original oil and also original gear oil in them and one engine he says he sold had full engine oil in it.

Mostly people do is they sell you original qabli engine and civil abused gear now make sure you get good gear as its very expensive to replace.

The engine i bought had gear attached to it not like other people who sell engines than provide you gear while the swap is goin on.

They say there is not much difference. 7A gives outstanding low end torque.

On Petrol i felt local its giving around 11 to 13 KMPL. On CNG we went for test drive and drove at around 120 to 140 at average on motorway and touched 160 still car did 100 KM In 300 RS CNG.

The engine is giving very good mileage. 100 Km in 300 Rs CNG is good.
Can you tell how old is that engine? I mean its year of manufacture?

EFi Swap Depends On Wiring Part ......You Got It ...Bingo You are Into It.......You Can't Make It...dang...You Are running it like any sluggish old motor.....!!
I Am Sorry to say that if he can't even find IG- wire And can't wire a TACHOMETER then i am sorry to say about the mess he created.....it will be that uncut wiring which might have saved you......!!
wiring Part needs efforts as you see each wire needs to be soldered and heat shrieked if you got any cuts in wiring......!! in case you uncut wiring.....wiring work is almost nothing....just need right spots and some connections to be sorted and you are done....!!
About A/c so there a/c idle switch which connects to vacuum pipes and is adjustable and works fine......!! when you switch on A/C It simply raise rpm.....!! so get it installed + there are several relays points in ECU for headlights and other stuff.....if you don't use that points...Rpm's will drop on load.....But Not Much...On CNG you find then dropping more....!!

no not noisy ones they have smooth and silent heavy type noise ! i had in my car fgk jasma approved it was having very great sound ! well prices are from 6k to 12k ! i hav 4 exhausts in sight including TRD one ! if ur intrested then pm me will sort it out isnhallah

dont go for 4afe as mentioned above they are all civil ! go for 5a or 7a ! now dnt worry about 7a consumption becuase if u drive it at low rpms it will give u much good consumption due to its high torque at low rpms its highest torque is on 2800rpm so its consumption is good on low rpms ! there is no such big difference between consumptions of 5a 4a and 7a ! u asked about brakes too so ill ans them here ! if u have evr seen toyota corolla xe saloon the one which is called corolla II ! it has abs and can be fitted to indus corolla ! a person did it in a 98 gli and it was great but the problem is u have to find a half cut of corolla II and u have to take all of the abs parts from it from brake cylinder survey to disc cylnders and pipes all of it ! i suggest u do one thing ! buy geniune brake pads front rear cost u around 4200 (costed me same) and chek if any of ur disc or drums is damaged ! if its damaged look at the degree of damage ither replcae it or polish it ! after this im sure ull feel the difference and brakes will be a1 i promise ! 2nd u asked about stabalizer bars i think ur saying sturt bars and sway bars ! yes they are availble in some markets i only know about peshawar they are avilble here price ranges 3k to 6k on brand and plus they are genuine kabali ! any more query ?

Now about wiring part bcoz I mostly run my car on CNG how can these sensors help? I mean if some sensor isnt working how its gona effect the cng performance?

My mechanic unhooked a sensor that is hooked into the area where thermostate valve is he says the car should have raised RPM when he unhooked it so this sensor is not properlly working.

I am feeling like an idiot i mean these mechanics dun kno anything about wiring and I also dont have time or enough energy to dig into this thing.

So i will need maximum Help from you guys.

2 Reasons.

1 - 1500CC is enough for me.

2 - Most 4AFE are civil engines and also risk of taken out of stolen 1.6 Indus GLI.

ig- is ignition coil negative (coil switching) wire, its used ti run rpm - if your electric wala has problems tracing this wire he can also use the igf wire from the ignitor.

the ecu looks at all sensors for various inputs - including some load sensors too to stabilise rpms - there is nothing that you disconnect to raise revs - whatever the person was upto, he was fooling you.
