Need help

Guys! I want to buy my 1st personal car, know nothing about cars but a little bit info. All what I know is, I have a budget of 1.7M to 1.8M. I need to buy a car for daily local use from home to office, i need a technically sound car, having ABS and air bags, automatic transmission and offcource i need a fuel efficient one as i have to travel 50-60km daily. I request you to suggest me a car in this budget. Keeping in view of below mentioned requirements

1. I have a small family of 3 adults and 2 infant kids (1000cc Vs 660cc)

2. Only within city (rwp isb) daily use, once/twice in a year traveling to Lahore / Multan or some relaxing trips to murree, monal, thandyani, naran kaghan, neelam vellay side places.

3. I live in most congested busy, rushy area of the city (committee Chowk, college road rwp) so sedan car will not be suitable option i guess.

4. Should i go for 1000cc or 660cc JDMs ? I don't want to buy local made suzuki models. Alto, wagon R, cultus

5. the suggested car should be an auto transmission, best for local and long drive with efficient fuel economy.

6. Maintenance cost car should not want me to take her to mechanic till 4-5 years excepts some routine maintenance work like oil/filter change.

It's my hard earned money which i will spend for buying my first personal car, it will be a great help from your side to find some time and give me the best opinion. U can write here or send me a voice msg as well if writing long msg is difficult for u.

Brother these both cars do not fall into my bucket as prices went so high. city and aqua both starts from 2M.

Only option which i know before creating this thread is Passo 2014/15 which is also a tough ask to find a clean car in this budget.

Passo is best in this budget... people suggesting aqua city, vitz have no idea about current car prices...
Try to find a minimum 2015 model passo .. preferably something which is not driven much in Pakistan .... and make sure that you ask for auction sheet... Auction sheet can be verified by pakwheels for like 1500rs and pakwheels also offer a full inspection service for 2000rs ... make sure you opt for both of those.... Don't rush into buying , check out as many cars on a weekend as you can ... it will pay off later trust me.
If someone says they don't have auction sheet or that car was bought outside of auction , just walk away.. such car is not even worth considering... Trust worthy JDM importer I can think of is MyCAr.PK check what they have in your price bracket.

if your budget was 15 and below I would suggest 660 but in 1.8 you can find a 18 import 15 model clean passo, limit your search to only passo, don't think about other cars and try to find the cleanest one,

Bhai, meray dost nay recently 2014 vitz F kharidi hay, 52k km driven 16.5 lacs ki. 18 lac k andar 2013 ya 2014 city bhi aa jati hay less than 60k driven if model does not bother you. Kis nay kaha k nai aati?

Also when calling the seller try to ask questions which will give you an idea of cars condition
For Example : -
Does car have auction sheet , if so what grade?
If I verify the auction sheet will it be exactly same as yours? (This is where hesitation from seller can tell you alot).
How many pieces repainted (don't ask if the car is repainted , ask casually how many pieces repainted like you already know)
How many owners on registration car (If car is registered)
How many Kms was car driven in pakistan.
How long have you owned the car yourself (selling after 2,3 months is cause for concern in my book)
Reason for selling?
When was the car imported and when was it cleared from port . (document should verify their claims)
Overall just be confident and ask any question you need , remember its your hard earned money.

Indeed, but mostly people say they need to sell the car unregistered and right after 2-3 months that they need cash for home buy or for plot.

Im in a deal and the seller told the same, that they need cash for plot payment. They claim that they have verified the sheet when they bought the car. But now it cant be verified as right after 3months they data from Japan server vanishes. What should i do then ?

Sir that 3 month thig is for free verification.... Pakwheels has an option to verify any car if it was bought from auction, you just need to pay 1500rs... you just need to enter chassis number https://www.pakwheels.com/auction-sheet-verification/
if it says that auction sheet found then you can make payment to pakwheels and they will email you the proper auction sheet.
That 3 month excuse is by dealers who are usually trying to misguide people.

First go and physically inspect the car , take an expert painter with you or a friend who knows about cars, there are alot of videos on youtube by pakwheels on how to check a car before buying

Yes i have planned that once i get shortlist a car, i will verify it from pakwheels and car inspection from Onspot.pk car inspection services.

Don't know about Onspot but I have seen pakwheels inspection reports and they are very detailed, one thing in report is the electrical part where they scan the car for error codes , don't ignore that part as it is very important. As some cars are perfectly fine from outside but are flooded cars, their wiring is messed up and show alot of error codes.

And make sure that you are not afraid to walk away from a car if you think something is not right., usually when you have a gut feeling that something is not right just give it some more thought, I know that feeling, when you need to buy a car urgently and have cash in hand , but a little patience can pay off a lot.
The more cars you see and the more owners you talk to will clarify which car is right and which is wrong.. If you want to find a clean car you will have to do some legwork no way around that, thats why i suggested short listing some cars and visiting on weekend.

Yes, and before shortlisting, actual effort is finding a car that comes in your budget and if have a high price then seller agrees to give you car in near your budget.

as of today, im searching cars since 8-10days, but cars are so short from market that i just found 2-3 cars where i can visit. as my preference is to find a low mileage car i,e, driven less than 50k with white or silver color. i couldnt find any, now i have to change the criteria and going for black color (which i personally dont like due to the fact, its dustful and needs so care as compared to white or silver)

Im looking for climate control, eco idle, white or silver , less driven. its hard or difficult to find a car of your choice when import is totally discontinued.

The Auction sheets of cars can be verified even 3 to 5 years old. Pay pakwheels but first settle the price and look in detail whether it had an accident major or minor in Pak as the auction sheet becomes invalid after an year use or so..... better to bring somebody with you a car enthusiast or a reliable mechanic and painter.....

Further to add is that a brand new cultus ags would have been the best choice but budget constraints leave passo to be the best option in my opnion.
