Five years after Royal Shield

Almost five years have passed since I got royal shield on my ride and it is still giving a shiny look keeping the paint intact with no signs of oxidation despite bird dropping and parking under direct sun for past several years as I have no proper shaded parking place at office.

Today just got it washed and no polishing. Nothing like compound or cutting cream ever applied on the paint.

I had a question.. is it really hard to maintain a black ride? lets suppose if sumone buyz a new black car and immediately get it royal shielded will it still require lots of exterior care or as same as we care for a white or silver car?
